These are incredibly easy to use. Attach to the end of the 2x4 then screw to the post. Using them on our front porch and fence repairs (take a lot to replace them on the fence entirely). Much stronger and better looking then trying to toenail even if you take the time to fill in the screws hole. I'll need to paint them but would have to anyway.

I have to rebuild a small front deck in the spring and these are going to make things so much easier.The "kit" includes the brackets, the screws and even a bit to drill pilot holes. That kind of attention to detail is impressive. The brackets are light but don't feel cheap. I hope they stand up to Canadian winter but only time will tell. Based on what I'm reading on the page though, they should. They seem to have been really well designed and the material sounds solid. I originally thought they may have done better to be steel but given rust issues and the way these attach I see no reason these shouldn't work perfectly and last.It was a 10 pack I ordered, which was 2 short for my original re-build, and as a result, on a whim and since I was bored one night, I decided to look at a slightly different design to accommodate the 10 pack. The end result is even better than the original. Happy accident there. I wish I would have had these the first time we built it. They would have made things so much easier and cleaner looking than toe-nailing the existing boards like we did.I'm giving them 5 stars but if there's some reason that needs to change, I'll come back and update.

I put these on the ends of my 2x4 fence rails and they made fastening to the posts easy.

I was surprised by the quality, given the price. I expected thinner material, injection molding tags that I'd have to scrape off and hollowed out back sides to cut material costs; again, because of the price. The material, nylon I believe, is thick and solid. There are no signs of molding tags. I know that these rail holders cost about $7 for a pack of 2 at the big box home improvement stores because I bought a couple to test before I bought a total of 40. I took them back and went with Plan B (galvanized metal hangers). 40 of those would have cost me $140. Here I paid about $85 with tax, for 80. Good quality and a good price.

I’m so glad I found these! We are adding a porch onto the front of our home. These are helping to make this project and addition so much more stable than I had anticipated. The frame work is simple using these brackets to hold the 2x4’s for the railing. They also provide a really nice black accent. There are very good instructions inside the box as well. But honestly it doesn’t get any simpler than this.
