DERMAGINATE/AG 4X5 (BX)

This helped clear up a wound on my husband's leg within a few days. I am a nurse and we use this at times for unusual hard to heal wounds in the hospital (like pressure ulcers or diabetic wounds). Know that as it draws out the fluid from the wound it will smell and the dressing will get mushy. Change frequently and keep the wound very clean. We use kerlex to hold it in place on my husbands leg but cut small pieces for the one near his toe and bought large bandaids to hold it in place overnight. Worked fine. The doc was impressed at how quickly the wound healed. He kept the bandage on all night but left it off durning the day. We put a dry 4x4 on the larger wound during the day wrapped with kerlex to hold it in place. We washed it with just plain bronners soap (scent free variety) and water and made sure it was very dry before putting the bandage on at night.

I dislike this product because it sticks to your wounds. Too much money for it to stick and cause more pain.
