Not for everyone . . . but you might like it.
"Sweet and sour?" Are they nuts? This is sour to the max, and I, for one, love it. You may not. Add a little sugar for a refreshing cold drink, add to Asian recipes. Don't eat it with a spoon.

Good flavor
This was used in the original 1867 A1 recipe that I have from my great great grandfather when he worked for the Brand co. Tastes exactly the same. They now use brown sugar and lemon juice.

Unsatisfactory
I usually get the dry soup mix packet, but I decided to try this instead. I only cooked with this once and I was not satisfied with the flavor. I will not get this specific brand again.

No fuss Tamarind
Have been using this for last few years and no complaints. Easy to use , just a little bit is good enough for my cooking. Being a concentrate,taste and flavour is not affected at all. I have tried other brands but they put salt in it and taste is very off . Tamicon is my favourite, i use it to make chutneys , in sambhar and many other things . Hope my review helps . :)

A convenient alternative to raw tamarind
If you have ever followed a recipe for making tamarind sauce from tamarind by soaking it in hot water and squeezing the pulp from the stone you will appreciated the ease, speed and refinement of using Tamicon Tamarind Concentrate. It will keep in the fridge for a year or more and the 400 grams (14 oz) is ample.

This is perhaps the only Tamarind paste that contains only Tamarind pulp, no salt, sugar or preservatives. Packaging was good and I got a small pouch of readymade Pani puri paste. Adequate shelf life. Overall a good quality product and decently priced.
