This clock from Braun has the quality I would expect. I have had similar small alarm clocks from them before and they have never let me down. I normally only have to replace them when I end up leaving them behind. They are perfect for travel. I know you can do this all on your phone but I really appreciate the way this works and feels. The quality of the plastic, the way the buttons press, all scream quality. This one has a pull down cover with time zones on. To be honest I prefer the ones without but it also serves to protect the main dial cover. The second hand moves around almost silently. The alarm gradually increases to wake you gently. You can light up the dial with a small bulb at the side. It has a 2 yr guarantee. The only minor quibble is when you pull down the face plate it clicks from the locked position so I do wonder if this will last as it is all plastic construction.

This is a smart, good looking Braun Classic Travel Analogue Alarm Clock.The Snooze and Light features are excellent and it is a classic design.You need a decent AA battery which shouldalways be a really good LEAK PROOF one, otherwise you are asking for trouble.Niggles.That time zone support spoils the classice lines of the clockto my eye and, of course, modern phones have replaced this clock.Great for the older set.Accurate too.

As a basic clock, it's functional. However, it's not ideal. The flip down cover, works to protect the clock face while this device is being carried around. However, when it's open it just doesn't look very nice, and looks very busy with the different time zones printed on it. The feel the device is very cheap, very light, very plasticky. The plastic feels very thin. Functionality is basic. It did not come with instructions, but rather a card with a QR code that you must scan to then view the instructions. Functionality is basic. The dials on the back to set the clock and the alarm is very tiny and a little difficult to operate. You must only turn the dials in One direction, so if you overshoot your desired time you've got to keep going over again. The the precision of the alarm setting is practically non-existent. There's only one hand for setting the alarm time, so that if you're not setting the time for an exact 12-hour increment, you're pretty much guessing as to when you're setting the alarm. In other words, if you want to set the time for, let's say 6:15 AM. You've just got to aim the little alarm hand about a quarter of the way between the 6 and 7 on the dial and hope that you got close to 6:15. There is no AM or PM function, so you have to remember to set the alarm each night. There's a little bit of sloppy play in the dial hands. The one good thing is that the clock is much quieter than other analog quartz clocks as the seconds hand ticks. You're pretty much paying just for the Braun name with this device, and I just don't think that's worth it. I can get a clock with much better functionality and accuracy and precision at a fraction of the price.
