I am 80 years but I still have good eyesight except for the smaller, lighter print or on colored background which does not provide good contrast and some of which seems designed to make it difficult to read. I have reading glasses & the magnifier app on my iPhone but sometimes I need a little more. Reading glasses are good except for the small, light fine print & the camera on the iPhone is off center so I am always searching for my target but it is handy. I have a couple of the Acrylic lens magnifiers which are advertised as good as glass but they are not. They are usually unclear & easily scratched so I wanted a lens of real glass but they often come from scientific firms & cost Big Bucks. This Real Glass magnifier matches my needs.**This 30X magnifying glass is heavy & bulky with a wide handle so it could be a task to use for long periods of time but the image is Clear, the 30X magnification much, much better than anything from the big box store, you are looking right through the Large lens so no issue finding what you want to enlarge, the 12 White LED lights provide bright, even lighting & the lens is Real Glass. I think magnification comes from having 2 lens a distance apart rather than a single solid lens but IT WORKS.**The switch is a large convenient slide switch which is easy to operate. This item is so inexpensive that I have to question it's durability because it is so inexpensive but so far I have no other reason to believe that it will not be durable. It uses 2 AA batteries & the battery compartment is easy to access. The lights are LED so 2 AA batteries should last quite some time & the lights themselves should last a long time. It comes in a somewhat thin plastic bag with a flap which will be resealable for a few dozen times which is inside of a fairly sturdy cardboard box. I store it back inside of both but I wish they had an option for a cloth bag or an easy open, lined hard-shell case such as eyeglasses often come in. From the picture I had thought the white plastic might look cheap but in reality the white with a wide black band around the lens on top looks nice.**I am likely to buy a couple more to keep in different locations since it is not the most portable of items. I definitely recommend this 30X REAL GLASS magnifier to anyone who needs such & it is inexpensive enough that even if you don't "need" but just want one, it is a good buy.

It’s very helpful when trying to see something. The light on it really helps also.It is quite large though. Will not work in tight areas.

I have other magnifying glasses but I was interested in the circular lighting on this one. It works well and the extra lighting is beneficial. The only drawback is it is heavy, it is not something you would want to hold for an extended period of time.

I love it. It's a nice big size so it is easy to see everything. Light is great and it's extremely sturdy.

It's a nice magnifying glass. It will be useful, but "30X" is a wild exaggeration. I think maybe they really meant it to say three point zero but left out the point.The lights are rather dim.

Great light and readability- i use it for tiny directions on medication.

This magnifying class is a big help. I find medications many times have teensy lettering and even with my readers, I can’t read directions. Now I have the great magnifying glass that has lights too so I can read anything. It’s well made and I’m very satisfied

I actually made the purchase last year, much time has passed, since then I have used this magnifier often. It is not the only magnifier I own either, but I really like this one and has become the only one I go to. What originally sold me was the light, and the fact it is powered by regular battery, not unreliable recharging. I guess what I wanted to say is this is a great product for the money.Well, I do not need a magnifier for things other than typically reading fine print and sometimes working with electronics. The magnification strength is high, going straight to details, focuses quickly on specific words or sentences; however, "30x" is not the right kind to read a book (for example) — for that a lower level would help.The LED lights are not glaring or overbright, they are perfect for close up viewing. It has a plastic casing that seems very durable... I have not dropped it yet though I do believe it has a good chance of not suffering any damage. Furthermore, I am still using the original two AA Duracell batteries I installed, and they should last a year or longer easily (eight months already).

Works great, light is good, the lens is sharp and not much reflections or distortion, very happy with that, the battery compartment feel a little cheap and flimsy but so far holds up well.

I've been struggling to read tiny print lately, but this magnifying glass with LED lights has been a game-changer. The bright lights make everything super clear, and the 30x magnification is perfect for checking out those tiny details. It's small enough to carry around easily, too.Definitely recommend it if you're having trouble with your eyesight.

Magnifier is not 30x. Okay if you just want things a bit larger but no where near 30x
