Great with barn doors.
These 2x4 brackets are working great with my barn doors so they don't blow outwards when high winds swoop through the barn, hold them in place very easily with no damage to the door or barn door hardware. They also work great for stall doors as well.

I would recommend with one change add longer screws for typical US installation
This is a sturdy construction with quality materials at this price point However if this is to be installed in the typical wood frame US home the screws (@ 1" 7/8 long) are too short as they must protrude thru the 1/4" bracket and 3/8" to 5/8" drywall. This could give 1" or less into the stud, which would not be adequate. However if they were to be fastened directly into concrete they would work fine. Perhaps that could be an option when ordering. Other than that I believe this is a quality product and I will recommend it.

Substantial and sturdy
I wanted to make it difficult for thieves to gain entry to where I keep my tools. They would get a really good haul if they got in, and I have lost a good many things over the years to less than honest people. These are heavy and well made. It might be going a little overboard using both sets on the same door. I used one set. I also used full 3" lag screws instead of the ones supplied. I want to make anyone trying to gain entry really work hard to do it. These have pre-drilled holes in the outer section so that it is easy to insert a screwdriver, or screwgun, through the holes to engage the head of the screws. When I first saw the picture I was wondering how I was going to get the crews installed. Turned out to be easy.I positioned this so my crossing 2x4 falls between my door handle and deadbolt. I even went so far as to try to break in, and it is far more likely I would end up in the hospital than get the door open. I suppose I could break the door into pieces, but if anyone suspects that is a possibility the using one of these 1/3rd down from the top and 1/3rd up from the bottom would even make that possibility be a difficult one to achieve. One of the nice things about these are that using a 2x4 you can vary the width of where these brackets are placed. Could even be used for a double french door setup. And if you want to go way overboard drop a 1 1/4" steel pipe down into the brackets instead of a 2x4. No one will get through that. These brackets are heavy 1/4' welded steel that should provide a significant deterrent should someone want to gain entry to a place you don't want them detting in.

Your 2x4 Better Be Very Straight to Use These
These brackets are well made and come with adequate hardware. The metal is a good thickness and the finish is good and looks like it will last a long time. The brackets appear to be durable and I would expect them to have longevity. The brackets will fit a 2x4. However, if there is any bend in your 2x4, the low tolerances allowed in these brackets may make it hard to close or open the barricade. For a short distance span, these brackets should work well. However, if you want to expand your distance, you better have a very straight 2x4. I’m giving them 5 stars because they are good quality, but be aware that the tolerances are tight.

Stout and didn’t even scuff during my inept install
I received 2 sets of the SKYSEN 2x4 Door Barricade Brackets with all the hardware necessary to install both sets.I didn’t need to barricade a door. But I had something to hang on my garage wall and I didn’t want to use hollow wall hangers with the screws. Yes, I could have just attached a 2x4 directly to the wall by screwing it into the studs, but these brackets offer nice bookends to my installation.I did drill pilot holes to make installation easier, and I used a Phillips driver on an extension that fit my drill to handle the included screws. The only change I made was to add a large-headed fastener on both brackets to hold the 2x4 in place. It worked great for my project, and I have one set left for a door barricade…or a fence gate barricade…hmmm. These brackets are heavy, well-made and the finish took a real beating from me and my drill, but none of those slips damaged the finish. These brackets get all the stars!

Screws should be longer
Solid product! Only recommend the screws offered were 3 to 3.5".

These can be used for more than barricading.
There are many different possibilities with these barricade brackets. We chose to put them up on the wall in our garage and will put hooks on them to hand some of our heavy items that are currently strung about on the floor. The screws that come with the brackets are excellent for holding and would do a great job for whatever the use you need these brackets to hold. It was very easy to install especially due to the holes they have in the front arm of the bracket. Very well crafted, will hold up for years and look great too! These are definitely worth the money.
