Thousand Autumns: Qian Qiu (Novel) Vol. 5

Yan Wushi is Yan Wushi. Shen Qiao is Shen Qiao. These two forces will always be true to themselves, and they accept that of each other. The conclusion of Thousand Autumns is more than satisfactory.The enemies-to-lovers storyline is one that convinced me that the trope could actually work because of how well done it was. It made sense. The fact these two liked each other made sense. And the fact that they accepted each other for who they were also made sense.The epilogues gave me a good laugh. The extras were a nice to have.

Honestly yan wushi is a tedious bastard and the extras did not make him much more lovable lol I just wish there was more substance to their romance, but I’ve been spoiled by the romantic gestures from other danmei. Not a bad read otherwise, just a LOT of strategy/1001029291 names to remember.

Arrived in good condition with all the appropriate content inside. The plastic wrap that protects the content from falling out also protected the book from the worst; it was quite dishevelled, the plastic wrap. Makes one wonder, shouldn't the books be protected a bit better maybe?

Thousand Autumns has been a great read. All five novels are breathtaking in beauty when describing all the fight sequences. The characters are fully engaging and the reader becomes immersed in their flaws. I would recommend reading all five books but start with the glossary to familiarize yourself with the backstory.

I was a little disappointed with this ending but in general it was still a good book. This author will really rile you up and keep your attention. I love the characters and I suppose in hind side I think the ending was appropriate.

Not sure why this was 20 dollars with zero extras like all the other last books I've purchased. But wanted to finish a good story so had to complete my set.

I loved the stickers and book mark that came with the special edition. Worth the extra money.

Volume 5 – we move towards the end of the adventure.Shen Qiao returns to Xuandu mountain to find that his former Sect is in deep danger. Yu Ai has been the pawn not the mastermind as he has supposed. The battle is awesome and SQ as Qi Fengge’s signature disciple is fighting for what is most precious to him. The cost is high but he gets to make his peace with Yu Ai.Yan Wushi who by this time is courting SQ with everything he can offer makes another important challenge, this time to famous cultivator Hulugu. This is not just for glory but for the power balance of the Jianghu and especially for the safety of Shen Qiao who narrowly missed being killed by Hulugu before. Then our lads go on a date. SQ cannot enjoy himself; he is so afflicted at the thought of losing YW.Although they are not the focus of the tale, these volumes abound in amazing ladies. Zhao Chiying is SQ’s friend and the leader of the Bixia Sect, a woman of great talent and principle. There is his beautiful and contentious sister disciple, Gu Hengbo, who confronted Yu Ai and left the Sect to find SQ. I have a true soft spot for village girl, Banna, and her hopeless crush on SQ and her courage when facing off Psycho YW who tried to throttle her when he was ill. I liked Madam Qin, the noble matriarch of the Su family with an interesting past! Of course, there is our own immensely lethal lovely and poison peony herself, Bai Rong, who risked much to protect SQ.The author has tied together all ends in this final volume. I was left with nothing to wish for and I felt it was a good ending. For the poetry of it, perhaps it should have finished at the point when SQ is embracing Yan Wushi’s prone form and promising him ‘anything’ as long he is alive. Not a man to give a carte blanche to. However, we get all the epilogues and side stories too, for which I was greatly grateful. It is hard to leave good characters and it gives us some background on Xie Ling and how he became Yan Wushi and the final showdown between SQ and YW (no spoilers).“The mountains and the rivers grieve as one, and the world fades into gray!” There is both an ache and a joy in the heart at the end of a brilliantly told tale. I have the volumes. I can read it all over again. Thank you for this deeply endearing and enjoyable story.

Wraps up nicely, the whole things like a film script but its all quite satisfying
