i bought this in conjunction with some other gardena products as a) i was fed up with dripping and leaks b) i liked the idea of being able to change spray guns without having to turn the tap off.as far as point 2 is concerned, this so far seems to be working a charm. I can now have the tap on full and no water comes out the end, not even a drip until i connect a spray gun or sprinkler. This is the kind of cheap useful technology i love. as for point 1, there are so far no leaks out of the device, but I am waiting to see with the full Gardena connector setup if my leaks have been eliminated. If the tap connector end works aswell as this then I will be well pleased.Only negatives for me so far are that it feels a little bit plasticy, but that is fine. still 5 stars over all. I marked the value to 4 stars as the hozelock equivalent is half the price but i don't know how good that one is to compare.Thanks

I purchased a few of the various Gardena Premium Frost Resistant Water Stop and also the Hose Connectors.Excellent Premium quality products from Gardena with 5 year warranty so again keep your reciept and packaging.Very sturdy and well built products that compliments when used with Gardena hoses and reels.I have used this brand for years and found them better than the other well known competitor brandsEast to fit to hose. Easy grip and simple to attach and remove.Again only niggle is price of products but you are getting 5 year warranty so that more than makes up for that issue.Would recommend Gardena garden hose reels and their products but that is only my own personal opinion and others may disagree.Hope this helps

This is by far the worst piece of kit I have ever bought from Amazon.It leaks, and no amount of tightening and adjusting seems to get a proper fit. Eventually the thread on the plastic nut gives up and the item is then rendered completely useless. Went straight into the waste bin.My advice is to look for a properly engineered solid brass fitting and save yourself time and money.

Bought the premium version as the spray end to the hose has a tough life compared to one connected to the tap. Rather bizarrely it is more fragile than the regular Gardena hose connectors as it broke on installation. The plastic shaft dislocated itself whilst connecting up the hose which was irrecoverable sadly. Never had this problem with the regular Gardena connectors. The metal shaft gives off the impression this will last but it was the plastic that let it down. Only as strong as the weakest link rings true! Stick with the regular version is my experience.

top product , stopped my hosepipe nozzle connection from dribbling unlike the Hozelock attachment which came with the pipe and was hopeless in comparison.

I have had this product for a several weeks. Unlike the Hozelock equivalent it has not started cavitating and losing pressure. Hozelock attachments fit onto it with no problems. Unless it develops problems it is a much superior product as compared to the Hozelock equivalent.

This is an ideal coupling to use on the end of a hose pipe for anyone who likes to remove spray guns after use or to remove and fit alternative hose pipe attachments during watering or cleaning. I am well pleased with the coupling and will rebuy when the need arises.

I was previously using a Hozelock AquaStop Connector which I fopund the pressure was limited with it. as soon As I connected the Gardena one it was fully pressure again. Pricey but it is a quality product.
