The quality far outweighs the cost..
This is a very nice little speaker for around the house, or whilst you're out. The sound isn't the loudest (I have a cheap round one which blows it out of the water) but it is fairly clear and doesn't distort as easily as some.I like..USB and SD card compatible, along with the bluetooth and 3.5mm input. You can connect your music with pretty much any of the options that people use today. You can even select a track from your storage to be used as an alarm on the speaker. It looks great. I went for the black with the red contrast and it looks a lot higher quality than the price would suggest.Clear music from the speakers. Not overly loud, but then it may be more than loud enough for most. I have hearing troubles, so I no doubt like it louder than the majority.Battery life! This is the biggest bonus for me as it last for ages! I don't use it all day, as it's mainly for my laptop or my phone when I'm working away.. but I can go a couple of weeks between charges! Fantastic.Don't like..Nothing really. If I was being picky, then I'd say that the FM signal is quite poor and an auto search would be a big improvement, but then that isn't what I bought the speaker for.

Value for money mobile speaker with decent sound
Bluetooth may not be new technology, but I wasn't too familiar with it prior to the purchase of this item. Still not sure whether all these sorts of speakers are the same, but with this one you can only link a single device to it at a time. So I normally use my Nexus 7 to play Spotify or the BBC Listen Again radio service via the speaker, but I could instead take it out with me along with my HTC phone or Lenova Ultrabook. But I need to choose between them, at least until the battery power on my tablet runs dry and that decision is taken away from me.My internet connection at home is very fast, but I still momentarily lose the connection between the speaker and gadget quite often, which I find especially irritating with music, and to a lesser extent spoken word broadcasts. I always place the speaker and device as close together as possible to minimise the risks, but that doesn't prevent the problem altogether. Perhaps with at least five gadgets connected to the internet at any one time, the odd amount of interference shouldn't come as any real surprise. The internal battery took simply ages to fully charge initially and based on that experience, I wouldn't recommend trying to play it at the same time. Once it is charged, the maximum three indicators will stop flashing and remain solid lines. It's then that you realise that the speaker display itself is a bit tacky and very limited in what it can do. You certainly wouldn't want to use the clock at your bedside while the speaker is on standby. To save power, just turn it off altogether. But the battery lasts for ages and the display, whilst it's not much good for anything else, at least warns you when you need to recharge it.The sound quality for jazz, rhythm & blues and most forms of pop music is surprisingly good and deep. Spoken word is perfectly OK too. I have not used the speaker to answer the phone. The FM radio isn't worth bothering with unless you've lost your internet capabilities altogether. The biggest problem is that you can't mute the sound when you're re-tuning it and it makes horrible, loud hissing sounds. The speaker is far smaller and lighter than I expected it to be, but that's an advantage because my black & red one at least looks discrete and it's very simple to move from one room to another. The packaging is very good indeed and the box is actually worth keeping because no kind of storage pouch is provided. The speaker is very good value for money and is only slightly let down by its poor display. It works very quickly and connects to suitable devices in an instant once you've turned the power on. Sound quality is far better than most of the portable radios I've purchased and the battery ought to last for a good while because it does not need charging very often.Thank you to all the other Amazon reviewers that helped me make an informed and very satisfying purchase in this instance. Best speaker for £25?
After using the speaker for almost a week now, I can fairly say that I'm happy with the product overall. The sound quality and bass have a fantastic balance, so none overpower eachother. As for the sound quality, there is no distortion whatsoever (even at the highest volume with different types of songs). The bass has a nice boom to it, definitely a big upgrade to the portable speaker that I had previously to it.I haven't tried out the SD card slot, so I cannot comment on that. The aux cable provided is great and I had no issues with it.The radio works perfectly once you find a signal, not always the easiest but once you find it, it pretty much is of a good quality.I've had no issues with paring via Bluetooth (it's my main connectivity) and I'm impressed by the range of which it goes up to.I'm extreemly happy about the alarm feature, it saved me from being late to work since my iPhone decided to turn itself off in the middle of the night... Also, accurate time-keeping.All of the phone functions work perfectly as well since I do use them everyday since I just still love to mess around with the speaker. The mic is of a very good quality when I'm talking on the phone. The only negative I can think of for the speaker is that the mic isn't very sensitive but I wasn't expecting it to be. I still wouldn't coins it as a negative because I'll always be next to the speaker anyway and I'm not bothered since the quality is still amazing.Overall as a speaker, I would give it a 10/10Value for money - 10/10 (The amount of features you get for such well-priced speaker is unbelievable).

Received this today - came nicely packaged in the box
Received this today - came nicely packaged in the box, opened it up and everything was spot on.. Aux lead and usb lead included however and this is impportant - this product does not come with a plug for the mains to charge the unit - extremley annoying especially given the price!!Initial setup is very simple, my iphone connected to it Instantly, and the range is more than ample, the lcd clock is easy to set, however whilst in bluetooth mode it does not state the time just a simple 'bt' on the display - again pretty annoying given the price! To the sound - my room is pretty small, leaves a clear sound at all levels, does however lack bass, but then again its a bluetooth speaker so i was never expecting it to rattle my windows...Overall i would probably say given the money asked for this i would atleast consider all options on the available market, but at the same time the box says a bluetooth speaker and at the end of the day it does do exactly what it says on the tin!
