A Must In Any Craft Library!
I am a huge fan of all of Ms. Chamberlain's books. Though this book is short but it covers a lot of information. The author does a fabulous job of being direct, clear, and on point with her information and writing. The Craft is something that you can never learn in one book. Even though her books are centered around Wicca, the information is useful and insightful to all areas of The Craft and Witches. The book description is exactly what the book is. I myself have a library of several different topics. I started with this author and purchase every book as they come out. I suggest taking notes on things that peak your interest so that you can do further research. I always use her books as a jumping off point to introduce myself to new areas and help guide me to my next area of study. If my review helped you, please click the helpful button. Witchcraft for everyone......
A thoughtful, well written book. A lot of good information and broadly researched. Provides numerous "answers" to often asked questions about witchcraft, many of which are negative, erroneous and prejudicial. The author begins with basics and provides names and sources which one could refer to for further information. And, still allows one to make up one's own mind about this controversial topic. A book I would have on my shelf, if I had room for even one more tome. Well done, Lisa!

Balanced and educational.
I found this book intriguing. It shows a balanced view of all sides of witchcraft and the spirituality of Magic itself. I felt that the message was portrayed in an unbiased and educational form. This led to it becoming slightly dull at times where I found my self drifting from what I was reading, but I still enjoyed this fine work and would recommend it for many aspiring to the mantle of Witch. We need more varied public views in our greater community that show the craft as more then just one belief and one right way. I would suggest to any that are on the fence about purchasing this book to get the book. It is very different than many others and is a great addition to any library.

Great short read for novice witches
I really enjoyed this book. It explores the history and nature of witchcraft as it’s understood in modern contexts and several influencing traditions or systems. A good jumping off point for beginners.

It reads like flowing water
From the start, i love this book. It reads like flowing water. Once I got going it was hard to stop. You see, i finally gave in to my yearning to know more about myself and why i am this way. 2020 at least had a couple of good things come out of it. Some books i struggle to grasp and i end up reading them slowly, but this book is as if i am helping it along, or vice versa. I am so glad i found this book to get started.

Two thumbs up
I have always been interested in learning but was clueless where to start. In the beginning I was overwhelmed with choosing what book to read.My spirit was drawn to this one. Very good book. It educated on the different crafts and does not sway you to go one way or another. Be prepared to take notes because there is another of good information in this book.

Decent but Don't Expect All Your Questions to be Answered
This was not a bad book at all; it provides you with quite a bit of good information. However, it's important to remember this is a book for beginners, so don't think you're going to have all your questions answered. The author goes into detail on many important bits of Wicca and Witchcraft; however, she only touches on them briefly so you really don't get a detailed explanation on any particular subject. However, that being said, I think beginners can get some good things out of this book and it helps you to explore where you need to continue learning and work from there.

Read it first.
Even though this isn't the first among the books this author wrote within her series expounding on magic and Wicca, I think this is definitely the best starting point. It copies a few items from her first book BUT has a slew of information all its own. Very informative and insightful. And truly unbiased, so anyone can enjoy learning from it (whether or not they believe in the content). My mind feels really clear after reading.

Witchcraft for beginners by Lisa Chamberlain
A fantastic book for a beginner on the craft. It begins with a very interesting closer look at the roots of witchcraft all around the world. Lisa then narrows it down to Western Witchcraft, where she travels through time educating you on witchcraft throughout Europe, how it was once discredited and its revival in modern days. She discloses the many forms of witchcraft, a fascinating reading, she goes from Traditional to Contemporary Witchcraft, and the so many ways of the witch. The last section is on exploring your inner witch and then the magic begins…
