GarminDriveSmart 51LMT-D 5 Inch Sat Nav with Lifetime Map Updates for UK, Ireland and Western Europe, Digital Traffic and Built-In Wi-Fi

Bought this one to replace my old Garmin. I have an iPhone 6s plus and I used Smart Link with the previous Garmin with no problem. However, with this new device, it keeps notifying me "smartphone service is disconnected" on the pop-up window. After some investigation, it appears Smart Link kept connect and disconnect, which is fine but why keeping notifying me? This is not only annoying, but potentially dangerous as well as it blocks the navigation interface. At the moment I have to turn off the smart phone service on this Garmin altogether but it would be good to have an option to disable this pointless and dangerous notification 'feature'!UPDATE: recently got a iPhone Xs which now seems to reliably keep the connection so no more pop up warnings. A quick check with Apple website reveals the difference between the two phones is Bluetooth 5 vs 4.2, which might be the cause. It may be worth to check your phone before making a purchase decision for this device.

Havent used the voice controls, just used it to travel to somerset and back and it was great.good traffic announcements very clear and definite

This is my 3rd Garmin and the latest software with warnings and directions etc. a good improvement. Garmin should include the Safety Cameras though in the price

This sat nav has served me well several times since buying it. I honestly can't think of anything of note to fault it on. Sometimes it tells you to turn right/left as if you're at a junction when the road actually just continues in that direction, but I think that's down to the map definitions from Garmin, and its not that serious really.The 4-star rating on the voice recognition is due to the fact that I don't use it, so I don't know how well it works.

Bought as a birthday present for girl friend. Really useful and doesn't use all her data from her phone as MAPS was. Really accurate and very user friendly
