Works Great with Apple Airpods
Great bit of kit, not sure why the negative reviews, I'v been using this for a while with no problem. I thought it was an easy setup. Just hold little button until green light comes on. It flashes green letting you know its in pairing mode, put you device you want to connect into pairing mode, for me it was hold button on apple airpods dock with headphones still inside, wait 10-15 seconds and green starts to flash slow every couple of secs instead of flashing all the time. Next connect the ipslitter into device, put headphones in ears and enjoy. Also to note that the airpods control still works ie: skip, pause, volume up/down etc. Either use iTunes or another apple device to change what quick actions you want to use with tapping each airpod if that is what you intend to use. For me left was pause and right was skip and both worked without problems on my Apple iPod classic 160gb. By they way this did not have Bluetooth and using this little device I am now wire free with great sound. Warning though that it can go very loud if you increase volume to max. Sometimes not a bad thing, I have also tested it on my Nintendo switch and works perfect for Bluetooth devices.Just to be clear I did the initial setup with the splitter not connected to any device, I connected both devices through Bluetooth before plugging it into a 3.5mm stereo jack. For those that complain that this is not perfect sound, remember you are using a stereo jack and not digital sound. You can only get as good a sound as a wired set.I'm glad I got this as had no problems so far and got to be the smallest one out there, maybe not better for battery run times but great for slim factor.Hope this review helps, Thumbs up would be appreciated.

KNOCKED OUT MY WIRELESS HEADPHONES!!!
Obscure instructions for set-up with poor quality operational LED to monitor device status, and fiddly control. The worst issue, however, is that when trying to set up with a pair of inexpensive wireless headphones (CoreAudio Shock, which I bought for the kids both to listen to programme streaming from a Fire HD, without disturbing Daddy ...) this device would not pair, and then locked the cans in BT ON mode that could not be switched off. I had to let the battery drain on the headphones to charge and then re-start, only to discover that now they won't connect to ANY BT device. The Kokkia device seems to have re-written the BT address on the cans, which now is not recognised by any BT transmitter that I have.To say that I am dis-chuffed would be an understatement. Perhaps it is my fault in that the cans are budget quality (but plenty good enough for kids!) and for not appreciating that this device may only connect to certain Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) devices, but for numpties like me, while it is a nice product in design and concept, it is limited in application and seriously over-priced, which is a shame as there are few BT splitters available at a reasonable price on the market.EDITTED TO NOTE: After writing the review, I set off in a huff to find a fix on t'internet. I was able to re-set the cans to now work with BT transmitters (e.g., Fire or iPad), but they still will not connect with the Kokkia device.

great item and very happy purchase
Item purchased to use with Garmin Zumo 660, as motorbike riders this works perfectly to give 'both' headsets voice directions which is an extreme necessity when riding through busy unknown cities, especially abroad in which the zumo let us down badly by only transmitting the directions to one headset over MONO......great item and very happy purchase : )

Takes longer time to connect if your using 2 Bluetooth speakers.. But once connected they sound alright..

No playback commands, poor quality hissing audio
This does not respond to AVRCP playback commands from either my AirPods or Bose QC35. There is also a very noticeable hissing sound every few seconds, which is common with low quality Bluetooth audio equipment. Given this item's high price compared to lower-priced products of equal or better quality, I strongly recommend avoiding this item.Additionally, this does not use micro-USB and instead uses an obscure connector — another reason to avoid.
