DAVE WALKER
You can get hooked on a singing voice from hearing just one song. For me it was when I was a teenager and heard,on a Savoy Brown album (Hellbound Train) for the first time, Dave Walker singing Lost And Lonely Child, and Troubled By These Days And Times. Okay, I admit that's two songs, but there is a blues history behind Dave Walker's voice that is unmistaken for any other.Topnotch musicians lay down the electric groove on Dave's second, more blues oriented disc 'Walking Underwater'. If there's a Lost And Lonely Child on this disc it's the title track itself, a more mature theme than Lost .. but spin the disc and you will hear just as heartbreakingly blue emotive vocals that rip and tear slowly at the soul.Dave Walker is, and has been a blues artist for a long time now who has truly stepped out on his own with this disc - an instant classic in my blue library.

Good Music, but POOR Sound Quality!
To be brief, basically the tunes and Walker's singing on this CD are fine; however, the sound/audio quality definitely needs some improvement. This recording is not that old being from 2007, but from a sound quality standpoint, it sounds a lot older (in a bad way). It just sounds too murky, muffled, flat, etc. Hate to say this about so recent of a recording, but it could definitely use a re-mastering job.

Dave's best since Kings of Boogie w/Savoy Brown
I feel this is Dave Walkers best work since his peak on Kings of Boogie by Savoy Brown. On that record he is about as soufully intense as it gets. Here his voice has changed for the better compared to the Sonny Boy Williams Tribute. What stands out right away is the guitar work to me. It's hard to describe, so I would venture to say it's sounds like Delayed Deep Slide Fuzz. It's clear he is unusual and is still translating the sound of his voice from (to me, the great and deep voice on KOB to something that is still changing..into what, who knows)? I guess I have a collectors item. Very unusual guy, I would say. Keep going Dave. Straight Ahead.
