Attractive and fairly substantial
Didn't think I'd like it as much as I do, traditional without being fancy, bigger and more attractive in person. Yes, it has an inexpensive quartz time keeper, but it keeps perfect time. As another review noted, this is actually the Atwater clock, see the model number in photo, not sure what's up with the Greenbush name. That same review states the crystal is plastic -- nope, glass, which gives it a little heft (not heavy though). Came very well packaged in manufacturer's packaging. Retail price is way too high for what you're getting, but on a steep discount it's a very nice clock.

A Nice Wall Clock
This is the Howard Miller "Atwater" wall clock. I don't know where they got the "Greenbush" name. It's very nice. The frame is made of metal. The clear "crystal" is plastic, but it's domed to prevent the harsh reflections that a flat piece of glass or plexiglass can have. The mounting point is designed to ensure the clock mounts flush against the wall all the way around. It doesn't look like it's hanging like a painting, and it creates the impression that it's built into the wall.As for seeming "cheap," as another review suggests, it doesn't weigh anything like the 20 pounds it might weigh if it were solid metal. It's stamped or pressed from a sheet of metal. No one is ever going to see the back side, so that is irrelevant. It has to hang on a wall, and most people are going to mount it on drywall. It's not feather light, but light enough that you don't have to find a stud to ensure it won't fall and kill someone. It is made in China. Nevertheless, it looks just like the photos. I am quite happy with it.

I think this is an heirloom timepiece!
Beautiful clock! Love that the glass is domed. Attractive, subtle background in antique neutral tones.
