Use every day and love it.
I bought this for preparing several different coffee types including traditional Turkish, espresso and cafeteria and it handles each flawlessly. It is very easy to adjust the grind setting from very very fine all the way to course and although some beans can be quite hard to grind I think it's well worth the effort. Build quality is absolutely fantastic. I have been using everyday since purchase (4 months now) and it still looks brand new despite having slipped out of my hands and onto the floor a couple of times! If you like your coffee and are in the market for a hand grinder that will produce very fine coffee then I would not hesitate in recommending this.

Good quality coffee grinder
Very attractive, quality feeling product which looks exactly as it does in the picture. This is the first Turkish coffee grinder we have owned so not sure if it is normal to have to grind for so long to convert beans into enough coffee to make a cup but have a feeling it is all part of the experience. Does create lovely fine coffee which smells amazing (much better than an electric grinder). Only criticism is that it is quite squeaky when you turn the handle but perhaps that will lessen with more use.

Extra fine daily grind
An excellent coffee grinder! I'm so happy I ordered this: it's easy to use and a really gorgeous piece. Changing the grind is really simple and grinding requires little force, since you can twist the grinder and the lever while grinding. Easy to fill, you can fit about four cups' worth of coffee beans in it, and the ground coffee falls neatly into the bottom half of the grinder.

Looks good but that's about it
Looks good but that's about it. Does not do fine powder for arabic coffee. It takes ages to grind enough coffee for a cup. Adjustment is a pain.

Lovely looking piece of kitchen equipment.
Great-looking little grinder. Easy to use and adjust, but haven't been able to get it fine enough for Turkish. Filling it with beans can't be rushed. Downsides: Polished brass finish doesn't last long, even with delicate handling. Bottom container is an interference fit onto main body, so the slightest excess pressure or knock which results in it going out of true will make it almost impossible to fit together again. Needs to be built from thicker gauge brass. In spite of this I love it.

Very solid & handsome coffee grinder
While I consider looks irrelevant this is catchy ;)PROs:it grinds very effectively (ie fast);very evenly ground coffee;the mechanism hardly warms up(!!!), it's quite easy to hold & turn;it feels like built-to-last, - decades I hope!CONs:it squeaks;some bean types (freshly roasted, non-oily, or mild-med roast) are quite hard work;there is a design-flaw (as noted by another reviewer, there are four holes/gaps between the cylinder walls and the mechanism, allowing rougher chunks through. I fixed this by stuffing 4 little balls of alu foil in these gaps using long tweezers);there are many crevices&nooks in the catchment chamber where grinds can lodge & go ranzid (avoided by regularly brushing out all parts of the grinder!)....All in all, I like it, and am happy to have spent more money on than most other grinders.

Genial als Pfeffermühle
Endlich mal eine Mühle, mit der man nach ein paar wenigen Umdrehungen eine nennenswerte Menge an Pfeffer enthält! Die Feinheit passt auch.

Not happy
Not happy at all with this grinder. With 3 out of 5 attempts to grind coffee beans, between 1/3 and 1/2 of the beans are half ground and stay in the top of the grinder. They do no go through, even after 20+ minutes trying different tricks how to grind them (incl. buying a soft brush to clean up the grinder before, during and after the grinding). At the end, i need to throw those beans and the whole process takes a way the joy of preparing and drink your coffee.Taking into account the price, it is not worth it … :(

Zassenhaus Espresso and Mocca Grinder Havanna, Brass, 041002
To make a long story short: Wow! What an amazing product. But people will complain because nothing in this world is perfect. Here's my two cent: the top cover will wear due to the burr shaft light loose making them rub a little. Solution: well, even thought harder beans will send some coffee shrapnell flying around at the end of the grinding process, the cover does not wear anymore when I remove it.The grind is the finest. I researched, read reviews pretty much everywhere and evaluated the specifications of most manual coffee grinders. There seems to be only one conclusion: this coffee grinder is simply the best. The burr won't quit (I fill it max many times a day, every day). The burr does need a minor adjustement after every 100g (I adjust it after every grind all the way to minimum then give it just enough loose so the burr doesn't eat itself). The result is the finest grind every time. I only drink Turkish coffee. As Turkish lovers know, if the grind isn't fine enough, one's teeth have to finish the job and I will not accept that. With this grinder, the coffee makes a nice "puck" at the bottom of my cup (bowl) and leaves me with a strange and durable smile every time. So I'd say this coffee grinder delivers what Turkish coffee lovers can expect. Also, if compared with any non-manual grinder, this thing is silent and is a nice light rewarding workout.

como antes
muy buena calidad, recuerda los molinillos antiguos. tiene mucho estilo y buen mecanismo. va un poco duro, pero es normal, ya que es manual

Pricey - but you can't go wrong.
Solid build quality - I could certainly see using this for decades. The arm doesn't slip out when grinding. Does an excellent job with either a fine or coarse ground. Those who would like a super fine ground (for turkish coffee) can achieve it by just running it 2x. First to get it to a coarse ground and then the second time adjust it to the fine setting. It's a typical extra step with manual grinders that we have forgotten about since we're so used to the convenience of motorized and automated appliances. You'll find this will solve problems with it taking a long time to grind or the whole coffee beans not feeding into the grinder when you start off on the fine setting. It's certainly not the most convenient way to grind coffee and it's probably only worth the money if you plan on making this a family heirloom. In retrospect - I probably should have tried to hunt down a used one. I clean it out periodically with compressed air.
