Good value for the money
Solid motor and control unit, Extremely high torque for its size. Should work very well for my project.

Good motor.
It's a good motor. I use it to power a sheet metal bead roller. I use sprockets and roller chain to drive the bead roller. One issue is that on slower speed settings the motor jumps when starting but then slows right away to the speed setting. Nothing I can't deal with, just something I've learned to expect. Other than that it's perfect for this application. One other issue was sourcing a 15mm bore #40 sprocket. I ended up boring a 1/2" to 15mm and broaching a metric key way in it. It's stable and reliable so far.

great product
I used this to build a pig rotisserie and it worked great. It was gear reduced further another 8-1 and it easily spun 120lb of meat for hours and never got hot. The speed controller was very nice unlike others that simply are a adjustable resistor and starve the motor of voltage causing the motor to burn up. This performed great, it has what appears to be a load capacitor on the side and can be adjusted from 1-100%I ended up making my own mounting bracket becuase the one I found after hours of searching was going to take to long to get. The correct bracket for this is LD-180W-370W

Needs a VFD INSTEAD OF A VOLTAGE REGULATOR
It does what is specified but don’t try to use it in a work load environment AT ALL. What they fail to tell you is that it uses a VOLTAGE regulator and not a VFD, so if you ask the motor for any power for even a very short time it cooks THE MOTOR INSTANTLY. For just very very light use it would work but not a “high torque, high power” application. But that’s not the motors fault, it would be a beautiful motor for low speed high torque if it came with a VFD instead, so maybe just order it cause it’s so cheap and get a VFD,( VERIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE)! Trust me, I already threw mine away cause it happened.

Are not high torque
Motor looks good, the adjustment speed works well.Doesn’t work as is presented. Instruction paper is not in English.

How to add a reversing switch?
Can anyone show me the best way to add a reversing switch to it? I have added a toggle and it is working, but I want to make sure it’s correct.
