Decent jacket, odd fit and awful Velcro cuffs
The fit is different to the usual tight fitting cycling apparel we are all used to. I am 80kg, 5'10" and athletic build. Large was way too big and Medium seems to mimic a better fit for me. The jacket seems really good quality but sadly the awful Velcro cuffs ruins the whole jacket for me. The large size seems like it will flap around way too much in the wind and the medium while a little tight across the shoulders seems like the better choice, neither fit like a soft shell however but would be good enough squeezed into a back jersey pocket should the rain come down. A somewhat good all round jacket spoiled by dated velcro sleeves and an odd fit as others have mentioned. If you can live with the velcro cuffs and find a good fit £115 at the time of writing for a fully fledged gore-tex jacket is an absolute bargain.

Worth the cost
This is an excellent wet weather cycling jacket - totally waterproof and very breathable. I've never found moisture building up inside it, unlike every other 'breathable' jacket I've tried! It has a fairly close fit but not the body hugging design of a lot of cycle wear, which makes it more comfortable and allows room for an extra layer underneath it in cold weather. I'm 5' 10" with 40" chest - size L was perfect for me. It is a good length, with an extended tail at the back and has a comfortable windproof collar and single rear pocket, (big enough for tube, snack, phone), plus front zip pocket for keys etc. Gore wear is not cheap but the quality of materials and manufacture justify the extra cost.

Sizing wrong but good quality and value
Orignally bought a size M using the gore sizing chart (5.8' , 30" wasist and 38" chest), fit was very loose, especially when wearing fitted cycling jersey underneath, I will be exchanging for a S, as the jacket was what I've been looking for at this price range, waterproof, windproof and light.Have since used it quite abit, its reasonably waterproof and does a good job of removing moisture from inside. Only downside is that the jacket is quite roomy near the shoulders, when tucking from the wind this tends to produce a parachute effect, the adjustment tabs havent done much to help this

Gore does it again
Gore does it again. Yes, it’s expensive, but simply nothing feels so incredibly light, while stopping the wind and rain completely and preventing sweat build up. Personally I like a loose fitting jacket so I went for the large size and I am a skinny 38 chest and 33 waist. It does feel a little baggy and long in the arm (I have short arms anyway) but the benefits of being able to fit a thin fleece underneath and not feeling restricted outweigh the aesthetics - not that it looks ridiculously big on me. My only small complaint is the colour range. My last jacket was orange and I much prefer that colour, unavailable here. Though my wife says this is much more visible so it’s probably just as well. BTW I’ve worn this continuously since I bought it for my 20-mile round commute to work nearly every day and it’s bearing up very well. Worth paying for if you can afford it. I imagine this will last me years.

Well-made Goretex cycling jacket
This waterproof cycling jacket is unlined so packs small. Is as waterproof as advertised, totally windproof & lasts years. There's no fold-away hood to interfere with helmet use, has a small front zipped pocket to the left side, a larger pocket on the rear, long enough sleeves with Velcro cuff straps. There's also a pull cord around the waist.Had my previous one for over 10yrs without the zip causing issues & survived a couple of crashes until recently so replaced it & patched my old one with a small circle of carpet tape. Won't stop excessive sweating but does expel most. Definitely recommended. If you want to also keep warm - wear something underneath.

Great Jacket
I got the xxl as I never find decent cycle clothing that fits my frame. I am 5'8" with 36" waist and 44-45" chest. The jacket fits well and has room for other garments underneath. The sleeves are long as I am short and tubby, they do though have adjustable fasters so can be tucked up above my gloves. I wore this jacket over a base layer only at 8c in the rain for 2hrs. It was warm enough without even having a jacket underneath. There was a small amount of dampness from perspiration inside afterwards which i would expect but nothing like the plastic jackets. Where sweat dripped out of my cuffs. You get what you pay for and this is worth the investment.

Not really good.
Shape only for road cyclists, too short in the front. You have to bend down to compensate for it and also bend down if it rains as it has basic not sealed zips.Good for visibility and as a wind stopper. Not the best for rain.Very slim sizing.Overpriced as it has basic zips.
