I bought this as a streamer by the reality is that I mainly use it to stream my cd collection as a flac file server (with streaming capability if I can convince myself to subscribe to a music service). Superbly featured, great looking, compact, excelkent sound quality and fantastic build quality. I bypass the built in DAC using the usb out and my amplifier DAC ... it is what i have always (for the last 40 plus years) wanted in a music server.

Dont buy now, wait till the Gen2 is available.Fantastic bit of kit.

In these days of prices inflated to 'what the punter is prepared to afford' you can't really say this is a cheap high class streamer. However it takes the cheaper and slightly cheaper streamers and blows them into the weeds.....particularly in the field of the control software, which is both intuitive and attractive. As we have also seen - from the guys with the pin sharp hearing and discernment - it also sounds great too. Having used a half decent £1500 streaming home cinema receiver for a couple of years I wasn't prepared for any real discernible hike in sound quality......Emperor's new clothes etc. I bought the A6 for the control software (mostly). However, there is no question about how musical this sounds in comparison to the Denon. Listening to music is now listed as one of my hobbies again. I really can't stress this enough - it's been a life-changer. Coupled with the (unique?) easy plug and play SSD facility, this has proved to be a very wise purchase indeed. Just wish I could have afforded the A8!

Amazing sound and features, I brought a Crucial P3 2TB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe Internal SSD to fit in the internal slot which was a problem at first but after realising it wasn’t seated properly it worked and formatted, user interface is amazing and fairly easy to get your head around, I would highly recommend, it seems like I’m listening to my music in a new way I’m hearing things I’ve never noticed before

eversolo dmp A6 .its highly polished and deeply flawed.Sound is v good but , cluncky os .it seems that it is still in beta testing mode, still has problems of not playing from the start of a selected track . this is beyond annoying , on the forums this problem came up almost a year ago . music selection from native system should be avoided . if you choose 1 track from an album it includes the whole album ?. and from roon it was converting every track to 144 hz .even though gapless playback was set to origin source . usb - dac cut out was also a ploblem. not recommended . sent back.
