I was unhappy with this product because the temporary stop tab continuously stuck and prevented the cord from retracting when slack. Our beagle is a puller but the we didn't expect it to jam 4-5 times on every walk. I ended up taking it apart and removing the permanent locking tab. There are two tabs, one temporary that allows retract when released and a permanent one that hold the cord at a given spot. It works better but still isn't smooth like our Flexi. I would not recommend this one.
