The media could not be loaded.  Having worked with many bulky and inconsistent lightboxes over the years, this is the next level in both space and light efficiency. The first thing that struck us was that the whole thing was only about 5mm think and weighed the same as a piece of cardboard of the same dimensions. The lightbox is well laid out with really useful ruler dimensions around the edges. It is just over the size of an A4 sheet of paper, so will easily fit in a folder with other documents, and is very portable. With the lightbox comes the USB-A to Micro USB power cable and a couple of clips to keep things in place.The real wow factor is when you press the on button and the whole lightbox lights up to level 1 brightness, which is a flat uniform light that covers the whole surface. There are no dead or dark areas, it is the level of light across the entire lightbox. This is very impressive and at this level it is very easy to trace/copy images. However, if you press the button again the brightness increases to level 2 and then once more it is at a very bright level 3. At the brightest we could see through many sheets of paper for copying. This is a very useful tool that families and professionals will find an essential piece of equipment.

This lightbox is so much more lightweight, easy to store and easy to use than my old lightbox.The touch button allows you to control the brightness level, although I found that I needed to use it on the maximum brightness at all times as the lower brightness levels didn't allow me to trace through two sheets of 80gsm paper. If you were using tracing paper, the lower light levels would probably be useful.The light is created using LEDs under a diffusing surface so that the light is dissipated across the whole area of the lightbox, although there are definitely brighter and duller spots across the A4 surface which necessitates some shuffling around of paper at times when lines are trickier to see.I've used the lightbox for tracing pattern pieces when drafting small items such as underwear and doll clothes and for making adjustments to smaller areas such as armholes on larger patterns, and it works perfectly well. For the price, I absolutely can't fault it and it's been used far more often than my old bulky box purely because it's so much easier to get out and store again.

The media could not be loaded.  I am so very impressed with this light box. I do have one already that is huge, it is so big that I tend to avoid using it. This is just the right size for A4 sized paper. It is quick to light up with 3 brilliance settings. I used the strongest for my demo video as I was using 90gsm paper which is quite thick but still got an excellent result from it.The light box itself feels quite thin and light, and because of its size is very manoeuvrable. It comes with a charging usb cable and two small bulldog clips to keep your paper secure while tracing.This was very easy to use, with no long preparation and the results were excellent.

This is brilliant. Great for anyone children or adults who love drawing. Charges well and helps you.to clearly see what you are drawing. Great price definitely worth it. My daughter ie at college and she uses this alot ATM. Not too heavy so can be easily transported

For the price, this is adequate. I was slightly annoyed that it is an outdated micro-usb port for power and not usb-c, thus not compatible with the chargers I already have around the house. It just specifies usb in the description and I think this is a bit cheeky.It’s not rechargeable and this is not convenient as you have to keep it plugged in and powered to work. If you have usb a ports nearby to plug in the 1.2m cable then that’s fine, but if you’re plugging into wall sockets this cable is not long enough to work comfortably. I also find the cable fits in a bit loosely, but that also tends to be a symptom of the micro usb fittings in general.I love the versatility of lightboxes and this one does a good job with the 3 light levels.If you have the correct setup where you are planning to work with this in a fixed place or are prepared for a bit of setup work with extension cables or power banks etc then this light box offers good value with minor annoyances.If you are after a bit more versatility and flexibility, look for a more expensive rechargeable one.

This was ordered for our arty son, who really likes to draw and trace pictures. It's really slim and comes with a USB cable. There are also two clips which can be used to clip the paper to the light box. The box is 5mm thich and A4 size so easily transportable.The light is super bright, so it enables our son to be able to trace pictures with ease. I've also seen people using these under diamond painting art, which will be really helpful when I finally get round to doing my own kit.Reasonably priced and perfect for what we needed it for.
