Tari Hot Sauce - Aji Amarillo - Creamy with a Mild & Tangy Kick - 11.8oz

Added this to hot dogs made with chorizo during tailgating and everyone liked it. Not too spicy and correct amount of heat.

Ok, so I rarely leave reviews, unless something blows me away. So here I am! I purchased this sauce for my husband for Christmas since he is a big sauce/hot sauce enthusiast. He didn't end up liking it as much since it doesn't burn your tongue completely off. I, however, fell in LOVE with it! This is my 3rd bottle I've purchased and I eat it on sooo many things! It's been amazing on everything! I also mix it with other sauces occasionally, such as Aardvark hot sauce (which is another great one if you haven't heard of it) and Bachan's Japanese BBQ sauce. It hasn't disappointed me yet! Every time I put it on something, I'm quickly reminded of how yummy it is! It has a great smokey flavor and the perfect amount of spice for someone who enjoys spice, but not so much that im crying and wiping away sweat by the end of my meal.Anyway, if you're on the fence, I would say give it a try!!

The sauce itself is totally fine. I like it on sandwiches and chicken in particular. It's got the taste and consistency of a mildly spicy mayo. There's not much heat, which is fine, as the flavor's enough to carry it and you can always add a little more hot sauce to it. But the value just isn't there for me, not at full price anyways. The bottles are definitely on the small side.

No depth to flavor. Needs onion, garlic, parsley and vinegar.

This is the 2nd time that I’ve tried to order the yellow sauce and they keep sending me the red one. I can’t return it or indicate that it’s the wrong one so I’m leaving a review here.

Peruvian food has been my absolute favorite cuisine since I was a child. I was looking for a sauce that closely resembled the famous yellow sauces that any decent Peruvian restaurant has as a staple. I only bought this one as an alternative to Sir Kensington’s Yellow Pepper Everything Sauce because I (still) can’t seem to find it online anymore. Sir K’s is the closest thing to the gourmet recipe I’ve come to love.What a disappointment this one is. Gave it two instead of one star because it says it’s made in Peru with Peruvian yellow peppers, but doesn’t compare at all with any homemade Peruvian sauce, the yellow sauces at a nice Peruvian restaurant or Sir Kensington’s. It lacks the subtle heat, the layered flavors, and slight acid tones for that matter. It’s just plain… salty.I’ll keep looking for Sir K’s sauce and not waste my money on this one again. Do your country’s stellar cuisine better.
