Fretboard Biology Comprehensive Guitar Program - Level 1 Paperback – Import, 24 September 2019

This is not the typical guitar book. You can learn a lot for sure, but it is not completely self-contained. For example, some of the octave shapes are covered in this book, but the other octave shapes are covered in the next book. Also, it references things on the website that require a subscription. But, the book does state that it is intended to accompany the online Fretboard Biology course. Using it as part of the course is probably best. Like I said, you can learn a lot from just the book, but you see the concepts demonstrated and have access to backing tracks and stuff like that online. The course itself is worth taking. Joe knows what he is talking about.

This is an amazing series of books and online program that is as thorough as you can get without going to music school. If I had this when I first started playing, who knows where I might be now.
