Very nice
Good axe. It fell out of the box (which was poorly taped) and onto my foot as I retrieved the package from the front door, so it's a good thing that this hatchet comes with a sheath!It's an excellent weight, feels good in the hand. Handle is a bit rough but it is varnished; I'm going to wrap the handle to give it a better grip. Also, while this does come edged, it is not what I'd call very sharp; the blade definitely needs to be honed.This is great for some yardwork I want to do, and also for personal protection. In my experience, I have found that very few people will try to start trouble with an axe-wielding woman. Who says safety can't be fun?
