Many years ago I had a Gazebo of the same style and form of construction.It was good to use in calm conditions and was not very waterproof.This one is totally different in the quality and weight. The way to put it upis the same. Although it is Autumn and I'm not likely to need it up tillspring next year I thought I'd better check it over in case therewas a problem.The first thing that becomes obvious is that this one is muchheavier and looks better quality materials.Two of us got it up and standing within a very short time withthe roof on and sides still to add as needed. You can have itup with no sides or all and anything between.The material feels heavier and we are told it is waterproof.It folds out and you really can't go wrong.I suspect that once it goes up next spring it will be up for theyear. I forgot to add the sides are added on very easily whether1 or 4.Taking down is as easy and should not be a problem for anyone.

This gazebo arrived in a large, plain cardboard box. Inside the box the whole thing is stored in a good quality ‘Oxford’ fabric bag (that’s a 1m rule in the pictures on the bench).The whole package is quite heavy but because of the wheels on the base of the bag it’s easy enough for one person to move around. The base also has small plastic feet as well as the wheels so the bag can be stood up and stored vertically and this saves a lot of space. As well as the frame and top/walls the storage bag also contains four heavy nylon bags that can be filled with sand and used to anchor the legs.Like other reviewers I’ve received this in November so it’s not the ideal time of year to be testing a gazebo. However, I put it up (without the walls) just to see how easy it was and I was pleasantly surprised.The folding metal frame is a single unit. You just pull it out to its full extension then put the top cover on (held in place with Velcro loops). Once the top is on you simply extend the telescopic legs and they lock into place. I did this single handed in about ten minutes. To lower the legs you just press the orange plastic levers to unlock them.I’m impressed with the quality of both the frame and the fabric top and walls. Without the sides it’ll make a great rain/sun cover for me when I’m working on my motorbike and with the walls attached it’s perfect for garden socials.It’ll be next year before I really start to use this so I’ll update this review if there’s anything to report.This gazebo is good quality, easy to erect and attractive to look at. Everything is in one easy to handle storage bag but at £139.99 it seems a little expensive compared to similar items at the local DIY store and it loses a star because of this.

This Fully Waterproof Pop Up Event Shelter Gazebo with Sides is pretty heavy but it comes in a wheeled bag for easier manoeuvring. Much easier assembled with two people but you can do it alone with practice. It is great quality and you can feel this when opening the product. It’s way better than my old one which wasn’t waterproof and had no sides. This essentially is more versatile as will withstand rain and the sides which can be configured how you like,1 or 2 etc keep all the elements out should you need it. The image for the khaki looks white/cream but it is more khaki than that. Comes with 4 bags that can be filled with sand to stop it blowing away.

November is not really the time to test a pergola! Nonetheless I’ve unpacked and briefly assembled it. The pergola is pretty well made which means it’s also quite heavy at around 20 kilos. However, a carry bag is provided which has two wheels on the base which makes moving it much easier.Assembly is pretty easy as well. You need to extend the canopy roof placing the cover on it as you go. Then the legs simply need to be extended. It’s just about possible for one person to do this and is certainly more straightforward than assembling various poles which is typical of most pergolas. In addition four empty sand bags are included which could prevent the pergola blowing away in windy conditions. There’s also tent pegs and ropes to secure the pergola in a range of circumstances.The material, while not particularly thick, has reinforced stitched bands and is water resistant. There’s an option to add or remove the four sides of the pergola. Certainly in November the sides are needed. Covering three square metres the pergola is a good size even with the side panels in place.Overall this is a good product. The relatively low cost, around £140 at time of review, is perhaps reflected in the quality of the fabric used. I like the relatively easy assembly though and the wheeled carry bag.Four stars.
