A little too fast for some things, but amazing little tool!
This thing gets the job done quickly and easily, and after a recent purchase of the more well-known competitor in the rotary tools market, I MUCH prefer the Wen. Overall product quality and finish is significantly better, the Wen is less noisy, better balanced, and FAR cheaper. It also comes with the flex shaft instead of offering it as an accessory to hit you for another $35. The flex shaft is a little shorter but still offers plenty of flexibility. The one issue with this is that the screw mandrel that is supposed to screw into the buffer pads was not threaded, so it doesn't fit the pads and there's no way to get it into the little hole even using a good bit of force. I'll be emailing customer service and requesting they send a new one, and unless they leave me hanging, by the time this review is posted I'm reasonably sure I'll have one on the way. If customer service doesn't respond, I'll come back and update this review, so if it's not updated at the bottom, you can assume it was an easy fix and was taken care of without much fuss.I love this thing. I use it mostly for cutting and finishing plastics for my hydroponics setups and it does everything I've needed so far. It's well-built, nicely finished with care and quality, very powerful and runs constantly at mid-range speeds 10-15 minutes without heating up.The case is well-designed and fits everything perfectly. The power cord and flex shaft stow neatly and lock into place, as does the tool itself and the small box of accessories.I did purchase the 280-piece accessory bundle, which also comes in a nicely-designed, well-fit organizer case. I recommend it as an additional purchase if you use your rotary tools a lot. Even after adding in the accessory bundle, my total cost is well under 1/3 of what the more known name device cost me, even before accounting for the trouble and expense of having to return the more expensive one before I came across this one. Happy I took a chance, and I'll be looking at Wen for more toys and tools in the future!

Great Quality, Versatile Tool
I bought this tool for a specific project, to reduce the size of the feet on my table so I could fit on the antique bronze toe caps I purchased. The toe caps were just slightly too small, but I love them and wanted to make them work. I ended up using many of the attachments to home the size of the leg extensions down, including the flex shaft, which worked great. The tool was much sturdier for the price than I had expected it to be, great value, would definitely recommend

Excelente producto, 100% comparable a DREMEL.

Lightweight, easy to control
I was looking for a dremel type tool to drill holes in glass and pottery and this rotary tools does the job perfectly. It has good power, it doesn't heat up very quickly and comes with a sufficient supply of accessories, flex shaft and storage case. The diamond drill bits were a bit small for my needs but found a set of them at my local hardware store easily enough. I am using this to drill holes in glass and pottery and the tool is easy to control without tiring your hand and arm, and I am not a very strong person, lol. If you're looking for a basic, lightweight, well priced rotary tool, look no further.

Prefer over Dremel
I carve rocks using diamond bits (See pic) and I was using a dremel brand tool and extension for the bits. I went through 2 dremels and was on a 3rd and then the extension wore out. I went through 3 extensions actually. The locking mechanism to hold the bits tight wears out and you need to remove the ball and stick a pin in to hold the clasp. NOT WITH THIS SET UP! This is nice! It already has a hole in the tip to stick a small screwdriver in the extension to remove bits, so there is no ball spring to wear out. This is just a tad quieter than my dremels were as well. And for the price, this is a great deal, I purchased another set to have on hand for just in case. When I carve rocks, I am running these things for hours. Every 20 hours or so, I remove the extension inner spline and lightly grease with high temp grease is all I have been doing. Runs great! Speed adjusts fine for my needs. I usually run them for a max of about an hour or so and this is holding up just fine after 4 months. It is so easy to change bits on this one. I use a small screwdriver, they give you a small allen wrench thing, but i the longer handled screwdriver is the ticket for me, slide right into the hole and I can use my mini channel lock wrench to untighten and re tighten the collet on. So I dont use the ones they send with this, I like something a little more beefy to hold. So that is the only knock i see, but the little ones they provide do work, they are just harder to hold. They give you a few bits and stuff with this and for the price this is the set you need. I hang mine up high and do not bend the extension more than you are supposed to. This holds the bits very well, better than the dremels I used did, they would loosen some times. Sorry dremel, I wont be back.
