10" Extra Deep Bamboo Steamer | 2-Tier Dumpling Steamer Basket With Handles

I am very happy with this Bamboo Steamer! The quality is excellent, and the two-tier design makes it easy to steam multiple foods at once. I've used it for dumplings, bao buns, and vegetables, and everything cooks perfectly. The reusable silicone liner is a great addition because it prevents sticking and makes cleanup simple. The included accessories add extra convenience, and the steamer itself feels sturdy and well made. Overall, this is a fantastic value and a great addition to any kitchen. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys making homemade dumplings, dim sum, or healthy steamed meals.

Love my steamer. It's great. Minor texture issue - the liners have little hatch marks that leave little hatch marks on your buns. Sensory nightmare for me. lol. It's a me issue. No biggie, I will just use other liners. But if you also have sensory issues, you'll either LOVE this or HATE it. Just a heads up! Easy to use. So simple. Steams really well, makes all my dumplings so far. (And I've made a bunch of different kinds!) I haven't used the accessories yet, but that's because I stick with what I know. ONE side note, the handles WILL melt and stick to the pan if you have them too low on the bottom steamer - ask me how I found out. heh..... On the up side, once they cool, they unstick and are just a little wonky looking. Still functional. It's my bad really for not noticing that the plastic was up against the metal and I was a dingus. Of course it was going to melt.

This wooden basket steamer looks nice and is also incredibly functional. Right off the bat, I noticed its sturdy build and the convenient handle that made handling over steam safe and easy. Each tier comfortably fits about four big buns, making it perfect for family meals or meal prep for the week. One of the standout features is the metal ring adapter included. This little addition allows the steamer to fit securely on any pot I have, which means no more juggling pots and pans trying to find the right fit. The reusable silicone lining is another thoughtful touch, making clean-up a breeze and ensuring my steamer stays in top condition. Using it for the first time, I was impressed by how evenly and efficiently it cooked my food, retaining the flavors and nutrients better than any cooking method I've used before. This bamboo steamer has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen tools. It's easy to use, versatile, and the quality is outstanding for the price.

4 out of 5 stars for slight defect! I bought this steamer set after receiving another one that had an issue requiring me to return it. This one looked promising, and I liked that it included an adapter to use on different sized pots and pans to allow for flexibility of use. That was one of the key selling points for me and why I chose this one. The baskets themselves have a bit of a strong smell when they're in use, and while I'm not sure the smell will go away with time and use, it also isn't too off-putting for me to quit using them. The smell doesn't leech into the foods I've steamed so far, either. For the price, this set allows me to steam multiple things at once on different tiers, and it's got a decent capacity. I even steamed some homemade bao buns in them in batches, and they worked really well. I'm looking forward to trying other things like steaming vegetables, and I think these will work well for that application. I haven't yet used the silicone mats included in this set because I purchased a separate set of parchment liners. I'm sure the silicone mats are fine, but I kind of like the precut disposable liners a bit more for ease of cleaning. The wooden baskets wipe down easily in soapy water, and I don't submerge them for more than a few minutes at a time to preserve the wood and keep it from warping. The only note I have on the adapter is if you have pots or pans with handles that raise up higher than the lip of the pot/pan, the adapter might not sit completely flat. It's not a huge issue for me but one you might consider if you're going to purchase this set or one like it. I've used it on wide stock pots and on 3-quart pots with equal ease, and it's made me more likely to whip out some delicious gyoza or bao buns on a regular basis since I don't need to rely on uneven pan frying or microwaving. So to me, it's already becoming a staple, and I appreciate the set.

Haven't used it yet. It's so pretty I just love looking at it. I bought it to make vital wheat gluten meat. It's very well made and I can tell it's made of good quality. I don't regret buying it.

The steel ring allows for efficient use with smaller pans.

I bought this steamer to steam bao buns, and it worked great for those, but I also use it to steam vegetables and I am literally stunned at how delicious the vegetables taste after being steamed in this bamboo steamer. There is no comparison between steaming in a pan and using a bamboo steamer. It is very easy to use and comes with a metal ring that goes on top of the pan of water and then the bamboo steamer sits on the ring. The ring offers flexibility in terms of the pan size and creates a stable base for the steamer. It also includes a dumpling press and a round metal cutter (like a cookie cutter) for cutting the dough into the right size for dumplings or bao buns. The price was reasonable. The bamboo steamer is well made and should hold up over time.

Update: I increased my rating to 3/5 because I figured out how to solve the problem myself. You have to boil the entire tray in a large pot for 20 min or so, after which it won't ooze again. Annoying that I had to figure that out myself but otherwise does what it's supposed to. Seems solidly built and looks pretty, but when using it to steam rice, a weird yellowish fluid is seeping out of the bamboo. It accumulates on the metal adapter and falls into the boiling pot, and it gives the steam a bitter woody smell. My rice is coming out tinted yellow, so it's getting into the steam. I wanted to love this, but it just doesn't do the job. Maybe the steel reinforced one doesn't have this issue. Or maybe I should've somehow boiled the whole steamer before using? Wish I could get a refund on this.
