10mm Closed Foam Sound Deadening & Road Noise Vibration Resistance Pad ,Car RV Boat Engine Compartment /Trunk Heat Insulation Roll Mat Sticks Well (176"x40")

Got this to soundproof the trunk of my Bronco and it makes an absolute world of difference to me. The music sounds better, it's dead quiet as compared to previously. It's most noticeable on longer drives as I just don't seem to get fatigued as easily. IT's sort of a large effort to install just because you have to remove the panels and whatnot, but once you get past the fear of taking those apart its a straightforward process

This is some effective sound deadening material. I'm not a car expert, but I always wanted to try installing something like this.I've put it underneath the passenger seats in the back of my car, it was easy to install (pliable, easy to cut) and effective at reducing some of the noise of the car rolling / tire friction / whatever you call that constant sound in a car. I'm planning to add more around the doors, and if there is enough left, the trunk, or perhaps order more. Great product!

This is not traditionally effective “sound deadener” however, what it does do well is climate regulation insulation, which make it a must in a camping vehicle big or small. This closed cell foam can be an effective deadener in a traditional sense if you have it between a constraint layer like some aluminized butyl rubber on the base and a mass loaded vinyl on the top of it. That’s definitely At least the traditional opinion, however for me this is great for firewalls, transmission tunnels, in the cabin above the exhaust tubing runs which I recommend the use of the MLV and a CLD as mentioned earlier. It’s also great for floors because it’s waterproof due to the “closed cell” nature of the foam thus making it impermeable to water and moisture in general.This is a nice foam in thoughtful package that includes a great roller and some seam tape for the full application of it. It not hard to handle and the foil isn’t sharp like some other sound deadeners like a CLD. I think it’s good stuff the adhesion level it a little lackluster and the foam is somewhat fragile, however it is a great foam for lower traffic areas of of your vehicle. Such as the interior roof panel, the trans tunnel and the most horizontal points of your firewall. I think it could fall apart if stepped on frequently. Four stars!

This is not the first time I've used similar materials in a car. This pad is easy to cut and the adhesive sticks well. Be sure to roll out any bubbles or air space under the foam so moisture doesn't collect there or reduce the effectiveness.

I ordered 3 of these, only received 2 but still charged for 3. Product is exactly as described, packaging is good, just missing my 3rd roll and I am not sure how this can be handled.
