4.5 - maybe more
These make me pine for younger days gone by, back when I had legs and ankles enough to endure the process. When I was trying to learn to roller skate in the late 80s, these were just coming on the market and were still an extreme sport/novelty - I don't think they were even allowed on the rink early on.I have 3 grandkids and at least 2 of them are going to get to use these to see how they do and if they're interested in the sport. These are well-made enough that I'm not worried about someone getting hurt due to junk - they'll certainly get some scrapes and bruises otherwise, hopefully, that's called the learning curve. These should survive the crashing and bashing at least long enough for them to be grown out of.I had to relearn to skate every time I laced up, even if I went consecutive nights, my body just couldn't/wouldn't retain it; every time out I'd spend the 1st hour or so riding the rails around until I got my wheel-balance. I know now there was probably good reasons for it, I had a whole series of head injuries/traumas by the time I was 10, so that probably had some bearing on it.I'm told the kids are already getting on wheels so they're going to be okay with these, and they have helmets and pads too, so I'm just waiting to see the videos of them out rolling around.

Surprisingly Smooth Skates
I was genuinely shocked about how much I enjoyed these skates. My family and I are huge into rollerblading, from aggressive to cross country, so getting a chance to get a pair of big wheel skates is always a plus. The first thing I noticed about these was the actual boot itself. It did remind me of some other, more well known branded skates on the market now, but the quality wasn't cheap knock off. It was almost identical to what I see going in other skates for double the price. The rest of the skate, although well, don't compare to the boot in terms of quality. Wheels and bearings are fine, standard and average, but those you can easily replace. The frame is just a hair shy of the boot quality. It's made from machined aluminum and is so, so nice. It's sturdy and just very well made. Will it last as long as others? Time will only tell, and I'll update if they do end up damaging, but they look too well made to feel like they will fail. You never know though. Between the boot and the frames, these skates are worth the price. Throw some new wheels and bearings on this out of the box, and you have a pair of rollerblades easily comparable to brands like Rollerblade, K2, and Roces. I really like these.

Comfy but My Shins Still Hurt
I was on the fence on how to actually rate these skates because I am not sure if its user error or the skates causing my shins to hurt. I have watched a couple of videos now to see if there is anything I can do, but after 2 weeks of constantly having my shins hurt with these skates, I hunt them up. They look really nice and seem to hold up well, but the breaking seems barely okay and I can't really wear them due to the pain in my shins. They are really stiff and it seems that no matter how much I skate, they never really get broken in. I would probably return them if I could.

My 8 year old LOVES these skates
My son loves these skates and it is awesome that the very securely adjust length to make room for his foot as it grows. He says they are very comfortable and fit really well. He said he feels really safe in them, especially when braking, so that is great for a new skater to say that. He loves the color and I feel good about the durability and performance of the skates overall. They are sturdy and made of hard plastic, for sure preferred for an 8 year old. They will get scratched up I'm sure, but aren't going to crack, they seem plenty thick and durable. The wheels move smoothly and consistently. My son's ankle is covered and they provide solid support. Overall, these are an awesome value and I love that they will expand over time to fit my son's foot. Highly recommended.

Poor quality and inaccurate sizing
I ordered the adult size 4-7. I wear a size 6 shoe. Even when adjusted to the shortest length, these were way to big/loose. I could not get them tight enough with the combination of laces and buckles no matter how tight I cinched them. This resulted in them feeling very unstable and I could not safely skate in them without feeling like I would fall off of them and/or turn an ankle. The brakes are also oddly positioned and made of poor quality materials. I could not safely break when going downhill, and by the end of one session they were totally shredded. I returned them. Perhaps if you have larger feet these might work, or for the most light/recreational of uses. For anyone looking to use these for exercise or in areas with even the slightest of hills, would steer clear of these and get a real pair of inline skates.
