This thing has enough weight to keep itself sunk and produces bubbles over the entire disc area.If you dial down the air to a bare minimum you get EXTREMELY fine bubbles which do not cause a splashy mess on the surface. They probably also get oxygen into the water much better than larger bubbles due to the increased surface area.It is only the stone, doesn't come with a pump, adjustor valve tubing or anything. It is expensive but id take this over a cheap air stone any day of the week.

I really like this stone disk, it functions well but you definitely want a gentle air pump if you need a still tank, my axolotl did NOT like this lol. But with the smaller air pump i got she very much likes to play in it. I’d definitely buy this again.

This creates some very small bubbles over a large area that seems to do a great job breaking the surface of the water while not creating a huge flow in my tank. My axolotl enjoys just chilling out in the bubble from time to time. It is weighted will, so it stays on the bottom of the bare bottom very well.

So I purchased this as a first time axolotl owner, I have no other bubbler to compare it to.However, I believe it does its job very well and works great for my 75 gallon tank!I could probably of purchased two though to be honest, if you’ve got a 70+ gal tank I’d recommend two even though it says it’s good for such a big tank.

I was initially thrilled with my purchase of a bubbler for my aquarium. It added such a lively and enjoyable element to the tank, and I loved watching the bubbles create a serene underwater atmosphere. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment within just three weeks of use. I noticed a crack developing underneath the bubbler, which was concerning enough, but then the air intake broke, rendering the entire unit useless.This experience has led me to conclude that the quality of this bubbler is not up to par. It's disheartening to invest in a product that shows promise initially, only to have it fail in such a short period. I had high hopes for this addition to my aquarium, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a waste of money.For anyone considering this bubbler, I would advise looking for alternatives that offer better durability and longevity. It's crucial to have reliable equipment in an aquarium setup, and this product, sadly, did not meet those standards.

This diffuser costs more than most you will find in pet stores, and I was mildly appalled. But once I hooked it up in my Nano 3.5 gallon I recognized its value. So the normal small bubblers you get in store push air through tiny spots instead of throughout the entire stone, this makes perfect micro bubbles that are evenly dispersed. A regular air stone (~$3) was shooting water out of the tank but this one creates a minimal “fizzy” surface. It doesn’t go all over the place. I plan on getting one for each of my Nano/pico aquariums because now that I have one, all the other ones are really disappointing.

not all micro bubbles, maybe 1/3 micro and the rest are normal airstone sized.....

Very easy to use and adjust. Comes with clear air hose and an adjustment valve. Instructions on the box are very tiny so I have included a photograph so that you can read the instructions more easily
