It works, take your time.
I work on a lot of Mossbergs and this part works great. Fits the 88, 500 models I have. Good price, will last longer than the cheaper plastic models.

Right product for what I needed
Needed to remove the forearm on a Mossberg 500. This did the job without any fuss.

Did not fit, it worked but did not correctly fit my gun.
Luckily for me it did work, but is not a correct fit for my Mossberg 590s shotgun. It was loose and if I wasn't careful would have damaged the grooves in my gun's forend nut. Yes, I tried both ends since it has 2 different spaced grooves for different make guns. This said in the description it fit the Mossberg 590, but as i said, yes, it worked, but it was not a good fit by any means and I was lucky. I would not use this tool in the future on this weapon.
