SIMBR Extension Lead H05VV-F 3G1.5 with 2 Gang Multi Plug Socket BS1363/A Black (15m)

After 1 3/4 years of infrequent use it just stopped working between one use and the next. The website here has images of the inside of the plug, which show a fuse, so i opened it up and tested the fuse - its fine. But then i noticed one of the wires had slipped from its socket and the screw that held it in place was loose. Ok. I am not an electrician, i stuck the wire back in and clamped it in place, in the process the whole plug was coming apart but it fit back together snugly. Then it worked. As electrical equipment, maybe this is not the safest or most reliable...but its perfect for my needs, threading the wire through a small window to reach a garden.

Overall, I’ve been really happy with this product. The cable is pretty strong but not too thick. I run it under a door which I can close over the top of it and it’s not showing any sign of damage to the casing. The electricity supply seems strong because I run a really powerful pool heater from it and I haven’t had any problems. So far really happy with it.

This is the second 15-metre extension cable I have purchased from Amazon (Dec 2020); I was very impressed with the first one - good solid quality cable and with a dual-socket at the outlet; I was able to connect two tools without an adaptor.The cable feels thick and has a 2860 Watt Power Rating, with a 13 AMP fuse on a 15-metre cable. The UK 3-pin plug and socket are made from a hard plastic which for my needs is sufficient - but if you are planning to us the 15-metre extension cable in places where the socket may be trodden on or subject to sharp knocks, it's the type of plastic that will crack - not the rubberised type which are almost indestructible.I do use the cable with an additional RCD Power Adaptor to protect against electrocution and damage to equipment.For the price paid - below £24 - it's an excellent product which will last a good number of years.Would I recommend this product to a friend - YES

I bought this to replace an ancient heavy-duty extension which powers a washing machine and tumble dryer. Both modern appliances, so more energy efficient. Unfortunately it isn't coping when the dryer is on full heat mode - it's giving off that slightly fishy smell that indicates it's not coping with the load.It's built heavy duty, and it looks heavy duty, but the internals are obviously not. It would be fine for other purposes, just not the high load of a dryer.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  simple product and well describe. 10 M long cable and the quality of the cable is very good. looks ok for heavy duty. uk three pin plug is attach with it so no need to buy or need to attach by myself. two extension plug socket comes with it. I do not see any fug with it or set on it. but i am not sure may be they set inside. Any way i an not too much worry about it. compare the price and the product quality I am very happy. For the small and quick solution you can use it. Thanks

This extension lead is powering my shed. I took it all apart and rewired it again and it works a treat. The seals on the plugs are decent quality and the wire is of a reasonable quality. I bought some corrugated plastic cladding and buried the cable under my patio. Job done!

Very tough heavy duty cable. The old extension lead couldn’t cope with what I needed it for and kept dripping. Now I have no problem running two high energy products at the same time. Shame it doesn’t have wall mounting holes at the back like regular trailing sockets
