I was gifted a lava lamp which I put in my girls room as a night light. It wasn't very colorful, the wax didn't seem to melt very well, and the base seemed cheap. Looking for a better item and came across this brand. Normally this is not something I would purchase as it's more than I sold spend on a "night light" for my children, but I'm so glad I did.It's stunning and they love when I turn it on. If I had the funds I would get one for my room as well!

It’s a great lava lamp! It is a nice compliment to my office at work. My only concern is that overtime. It becomes too warm and the wax becomes too dilute unless interesting. Thus, the lamps are most interesting during the first few hours of operation.

It's not very esthetically pleasing after a couple hours as the "lava" starts to do this shedding thing and then there are flecks and specks all throughout the lamp like it's dirty.Update: seller reached out to me and sent me a replacement that works beautifully. The first one must have been a defect. I'm very happy with my purchase now!

This is edited. After purchase my lamp was cloudy. Upon my review and without prompting the company reached out and sent me a new lamp. It's shown in the third picture. It is beautiful. Thank you Jambo. Excellent customer service...I bought this to help me calm down and rest in the evening. Upon opening I noticed the liquid was extremely cloudy. I figured maybe it just needed to settle. I plugged it in and waited for the wax to melt. It melted fine but never cleared enough to be able to see the wax move. I'm so disappointed.

It was just what I wanted. Very calming and soothing to watch.

The only good thing about this lava lamp is the picture on the box when it arrives.The first thing I noticed once I pulled it out of the box is the weight. For a lamp, let alone a lava lamp, it is very light. The glass portion itself carries the bulk of the weight making it top heavy— making it almost impossible to find a safe place to actually plug this lamp in. The base is also made of very thin metal and is two separate pieces— meaning it wobbles no matter where you put it. The bulb is relatively easy to reach— as I had to replace the one that was included because it was burnt out before it was even used. Luckily, at the same time that I ordered the lamp I had purchased four additional 30w lava lamp specific bulbs on Amazon for half the price of the actual lava lamp. Unfortunately, two of those bulbs were also burnt out. Now I said it was easy to reach — yes—- but actually getting it out of its socket is another story. As you turn the bulb counter clockwise to release it the entire base of the socket wants to turn with the bulb making it extremely difficult to remove the bulb from the base. At this very moment, I am on the third time trying to change the bulb and it’s been over an hour—- and it won’t budge— the socket just keeps turning and turning. I give up.….and that is why I am here writing this review so that maybe I can prevent at least one person from experiencing the torment that comes from purchasing this lava lamp.I know this is just a review on one lava lamp— but I have two—- and they have both given me the exact same problems from day one. I will not purchase this item ever again— and I will not recommend this item to anyone. Save yourself time, money, and the stress you do not deserve and find a different company or brand for your lava lamp purchase.

The media could not be loaded. EDIT:Jambo reached out and refunded my money while letting me keep the lamp. Above and beyond customer service! They explained Amazon fulfilled the order and they would be contacting them so it doesn’t happen again. They even offered to send another lamp, free of charge, but that just seemed greedy to me since there’s nothing technically wrong with the one I got (here’s hoping I didn’t jinx it haha!).I bought this as a gift. It’s a great gift, but it was clearly a return. The opening wasn’t stiff like when it’s new (clearly opened and shut a few times) and the bags and directions were clearly handled before. The lava lamp works and if I had the time to exchange, I would have. Had to polish the finger prints left by the last person. If I wanted to buy “like new”, I would have and saved myself a few bucks, but it was a gift, so I wanted new. The recipient was happy, but she’s 8 and I didn’t tell her it was “like new”.

Bought 2 of these at the same time. Unfortunately the pink/purple wax is just way too dark for the light to shine through enough to enjoy the lamp. The blue one with yellow wax looks green and is brighter, we love that one! If the coil pops up, turn the lamp on for about an hour and gently twist the lamp until the coil falls to the bottom. It will be a little hot, use a tea towel if you need to. This company does stand by their products and quality control as well, which is rare outside of the return period on amazon. They've sent my photo to quality control and will be addressing it. Their other lamps I definitely recommend, we've had them since April now and the yellow wax with blue liquid one is just as beautiful as day 1.Update: They are taking this into account for quality control & refunded some of the total cost for the inconvenience. Keeping it a 5 star rating still as they both still work with regular use and the green wax lamp is just as beautiful as day 1

Lamp looked great, however provided bulb popped during first use which was a shame
