Holt Mathematics: Course 2: Pre-algebra

I ordered this book which I really like. Great pre- Algebra teaching book. Gives a great foundation to Algebra 1. Unfortunately, it was lost in shipping. I was refunded immediately, however, I want this book when there are more available. Thank you Trisha.

Upon inspection the book seemed fine and in good condition however the book did not have a discontinued stamp inside the book which leads me to believe that it may have been stolen, Not sure but it had Maple county high stamped inside . It also had someones homework in it like 3 pages of it. Lol I guess my son will get a pass for those pages. Otherwise the book was great !!!!

I am a parent of a 6th grader and my kid's school (in SF East Bay) uses this book as textbook of the honor class for 6th graders. From a parent's point of view, this is absolutely a 5-star textbook. Contents are well organized to units that are easy to learn and review. Each unit is presented with important concepts then core skills are demonstrated using three to four examples with very neccessary hints and detailed steps. Exercises and Study Guide(reviews) and chapter tests all are properly chosen. Just let your child to study the pages of "Study Guide" and complete the review exercises after each chapter your child will be well prepared for school chapter tests. At the beginning of the book also presents California Content Standards for 7th Grade and Countdown to Mastery for you/your kids' reference, which are very helpful for parents/students to check their mastery of key contents prior to the state' yearly standard test. BTW, I used to live in another school district of SF East Bay and they use Harcourt textbooks, which all the parents that I met think it's REALLY a nightmare, especially Math.

A very good book for 6th grade

I bought this for my 6th grader. His school uses the national edition , but I bought this one which is the New York edition at a much cheaper price. It is exactly the same as the national edition.I am happy I was able to save a lot of money. My son now has his exact text book at home so he doesn't have to bring his heavy school text book for homework. This was a great buy. The book was in excellent condition and I got it in the promised time frame.

Used in School and needed for Tutor. Great to have this book available for students to complete their studies and focus on their studies. Wonderful Book!

I ordered this book to help me learn Pre-algebra and it was also that my school uses it. The concepts are explained in a good way. The quality and durability of this book is quite amazing. This book helped me advance quicker in math and I thank the clear explanations. Great book and definitely recommend it.
