This is our Jeep TJ or LJ Ford 8.8 truss axle swap kit, this is a complete bracket kit to swap a Ford 8.8 into your Jeep TJ or LJ with the added benefit of a truss. The 8.8 is a huge upgrade in the jeep, it has a matching lug pattern, a much larger ring and pinion, larger axle shafts, and a overall stronger housing than the stock axle. We have designed this kit from the ground up to be the easiest kit available to install. All components are located off from the truss, you simply center the truss on the axle, level it, place the brackets on the axle and weld. The only time you will need to use a tape measure, is to center the truss on the axle and to locate the shock brackets. We have used our Ultra 100 steel in all of the key high stress areas making this the strongest bracket kit on the market! This kit is compatible with 1995-2002 Ford Explorer rear 8.8 axles.

Well-made, strong, satisfied customer
Not a project for the faint of heart, I had to have a friend help me with the welding. Quality cut pieces in this kit and easy assembly because everything except the strut mounts are notched into a specific location once the main truss piece is centered on the axle. Very heavy duty, glad I made this purchase.

Heavy duty and fit perfectly.
I got this kit last spring and put it on a 8.8 I got from a junk yard. I completely rebuilt the axle and welded the Barns truss myself. The truss is keyd so it is hard to miss proper placement. It fit like a glove when it was done and has withstood lots of abuse. Would buy it again.
