I gave this rating for 2 reason 1 my six year old grandson could make things like his dad without getting hurt. 2 my brother with learning difficulties enjoys making things with help. I like it because it is a safe way for children to learn.I would recomend it to friends and family with young children. S.hudson

Great as a first woodwork kit to teach children how to use tools safely, and also it allows them to be creative. Tools well made however i don't agree that the wood stuff looks like real wood, but it is easy to use and lots of fun and i'm sure it could be painted. Would have liked the booklet to include more items aimed at girls as it is not only boys that do woodwork, but with a bit of imagination you can come up with your designs. replacement parts are reasonably priced,but would have liked more of the wood in the initial package Overall a good quality educational and fun toy, well worth buying.

The Idea of foam wood and plastic tools which cut drill etc. is great, the problem is a skilled carpenter could not attempt to build things in the project booklet, as there are no instructions, just a thumb size exploded drawing of the item. This is designed for 6+ maybe the manufacturers should do less projects in the booklet, but make them more detailed so the child has some chance of making them.

Brilliant product our 8yr old girl loved it with lots of fab construction tools (that are child friendly) which helps to make lots of things.

My 6yo son loved this but I couldn't wait to dispose of it when he wasn't looking. His granddad helped him make a treasure chest (which broke, warped and generally looked past its best very quickly) that I do not think he could have done alone. A meticulous child who likes to measure, plan and be accurate would get on fine. The "wood" is a rather nasty polystyrene-looking stuff the colour of a Caramac bar. I didn't like the look or feel of it. But then the gift wasn't for me was it?

This toy was just as it said on the box. My grandson and his dad spent Christmas morning making the tank and I'm sure that he will use it lots in the future. Well worth the money.

My six year old grandson had previously had a set of this and asked for another. He just likes hammering nails into things and sawing. This provided what he wanted.
