Despite the headline and the label packaging this is not copper. It appears to be copper coated steel.

I got this for use in a decorative irrigation system in my greenhouse as the copper tube is a lot more pleasing to the eye than the usual plastic tubes. It bends easily, being copper, and was easy to run around the various pots. Even fairly small radius bends didn't require special tools to keep the internal passage open.Obviously it is sold as hydraulic brake line and I haven't used it for that, but I'd have no qualms about doing so.

Copper brake pipe coil5mm outside dimension (we measured it with callipers to check)We are doing a home education experiment with a sand battery and were wanting to use coiled copper to spread the heat over the volume of the sand .This is perfect for that.It just sits in the container of sand (no wires or water or anything), we pulled it upward to fill the height as we filled it with the sand, which we heat via a separate heating source and the copper spreads the heat throughout the sand.I wasn't sure if this would come as a coil but it does yay.I know this is really for car brake pipe use but it works perfectly for our experimenting and was a much cheaper and more accurate alternative than trying to make a coil from plumbing copper.It comes with nuts and bolts for fixing for conventional brake pipe applications.

I was looking for solid copper pipe for brake pipe repairs but this appears to be copper coated steel. I couldn't see any BS (British standard) labelling so decided to return rather than risk upsetting the MOT man!
