A little sock assist helps me feel hugely independent!
This is great! After knee replacement surgery, I couldn’t get my sock on and off by myself the first 10 days after surgery and my physical therapist suggested this. It works so well and helps me feel a little more independent rather than asking my husband to put my socks on or take them off.

A Must After Surgery
I’m a few days into a hip replacement and trying to become more independent so my wife can go back to work. A sock tool like this is a must if you will be getting dressed solo. Works pretty well overall. If I were to critique one thing that I’m reading in other reviews, the plastic could be a little more flexible. I also have wide feet which makes it hard to get past the ropes and in the cylinder but pressing my foot down helps flatten and widen the plastic. It is much harder to use with compression stockings because of the length and how they squeeze the plastic, but still was able to get the job done. Similar with the remover, much easier to use on standard socks than compression stockings.

IT REALLY WORKS
Was really surprised at how well the sox helper worked.

Makes it easier to put on socks
Since my right knee has gone bad I can't really put a sock on my right foot, but with this it much easier and no pain. Recomend for those with bad knees or can't ben forward well enough. Very pleased with it.

Only useful in certain situations
Not for those who have bunions or wide feet. The hard plastic piece is too narrow for anything but very small feet. It was very painful for my mom‘s bunion. I’m sure it would work great for someone with small feet who doesn’t have much flexibility or strength

works great for long support socks
I got this as a backup to my first one I bought years ago. I wear long support socs to assist in blood flow through my lower legs. I also have stenosis which make is hard to bend down and learn forward to put a sock over my toes. This device solves the problem nicely.

Wide fitting socks
I had difficulty in placing the socks on the Sock Aid Kit as my sock necks were difficult to stretch. Also as I have arthritis of my fingers I was unable to pull them up on the Aid.The sock horn is good
