Did you know that storing your pet's food in the bag causes pet food to go stale and lose its flavor and crunch? Your dog may eat food from the bottom of the bag at a slower pace or may just refuse to eat it at all. Protect your investment with a Vittles Vault® Home Stackable Pet Food Storage Container. An airtight food storage solution, the Vittles Vault Home Stackable Container features the same patented airtight Gamma2 airtight seal technology as the Vittle Vault Outback Containers, but with a kitchen-friendly appearance. Engineered with a slimmer design, the Vittles Vault Home Stackable Containers easily fit in pantries, cupboards, or on countertops and can be stacked to help save space. Constructed with strength and durability in mind, the Vittles Vault Home Stackable Containers are made of heavy-duty, food-safe BPA-free plastic that won't shatter or crack if dropped. The easy opening screw on/off lid keeps pest out and freshness in. For added convenience, a free measuring cup food scoop is included to help make feeding time a breeze. Capacity guidelines are based on the shape and density of kibble and feed. When in doubt, round up to the next size.

Measure size before ordering.
My fault. I saw that it stored 15 pounds of dry food, but didn't check the size closely enough. When it arrived, the info noted it would hold not 15, but 25 pounds of cat food (what's the difference in dry kibble for cat vs dog?). It's far too big for my tiny condo so I'm returning it. It also smells VERY chemically, so I don't want to put my cats' food in it, anyway. The rating is because I'm sick of Amazon items that are as Prime during purchase, but the return shipping is NOT free and there's no way to know that before purchase. Items should not be noted as Prime unless it's free shipping both ways.

I got this because my cats are jerks and like to get into their food
I got this because my cats are jerks and like to get into their food. I had a different kind of container for their food, but they kept flipping it up and getting into it. I'd come home and find food everywhere and some very fat and very smug little kitties. This is great. They can't get in there no matter how hard they try, and they do try. I also recently had an ant problem and those little suckers didn't get into the container, so that's a major plus for me as I feed them expensive food!

Worth the Price
I have Maine Coon/Ocicat mixes, so these are big, muscular cats. And smart. They can open any drawer, door, and even "child-proof" cabinets. And every "pet-proof" food storage tub. Until the Vittles Vault. Now, they don't even know where the food is! They can't smell it through the container, so they aren't tempted to try to open it.With how securely the lid screws into place, even if they do try, they legit wouldn't be able to open it.Big ol' thank ya to the reviewer who said these are racoon proof. That was the tipping point that led me to spend such an extravagant amount of money on a pet-food storage cotainer. Well worth it!

A little disappointing
I have an original square vault, and I love it. Decided to try a new style, but it didn't work as expected. Closing the lid is tricky. I have to try closing several times to succeed. I ended up buying the original square vault again.

Raccoon proof
Not only is this waterproof and airtight, it is raccoon proof! They have tried 3 times and only managed to drag it around!

The Lid doesn’t always screw on easily.
I bought this to keep insects from getting in my dogs food. Ant invasions particularly have been a problem. My first observation is that the lid doesn’t always screw on easily you have to diligently make sure the threads are lining up properly. I don’t believe the container is actually air tight. When you squeeze the container with the lid on you can feel air escape which leads me to believe it’s not 100% air tight.

Very easy to use.
Great, makes everything convenient and organized. Love that you can stack them.

Cheap thin plastic
I had a few boxes of macaroni and other boxed foods on a table in my garage for several months now. I decided that I would get organized and get two of these bins to store the boxes in. I can't believe it but in less than a week we had a rat in our garage and he avoided anything on my table but ate through the lids on my containers. Now I have two containers without lids that are totally worthless. I have a vittles vault regular style that I keep my rabbit food in and it is still intact. Avoid this cheap container and buy the real thing. I have bought hundreds of items on Amazon and almost all have been good things, this definitely is not one of those things.
