Best putty...
The Scotch mounting putty is the best. Place the putty underneath everything I want to stay in place that otherwise might by knocked over. Great for the car as well. Place this putty underneath a number of objects on my dashboard and they really work well. Use also on the wall to hang a few things that are very lightweight. It works perfectly. Naturally this putty will not hold heavy objects on the wall but if the item is light in weight, it works well.Well worth the money.

Will damage the wall
I'd rate zero if I could. After a simple poster fell down I should have just quit, but I molded it some more and pressed harder and it stuck. Now I'm not getting my deposit back since it tore the paint off the walls along with it. Just use thumbtacks, no one can spot those holes and they won't destroy the wall in a noticeable way.
