Inovate DryerFlex - 4" Flexible Hose for Laundry Dryer (4' Length)

My plumber said 8ft hose is the standard but he managed to fit my 4 ft hose into the small space behind the dryer. Since it is only 4 ft it rises above the floor and was able to give a good air flow from dryer to the vent system. My plumber also overhauled the vent system to make sure the flow is at the right level and not hammering the flapper outside by being too tense. This hose does not come with clamps but the plumber was able to insert the ends of the hose into the pipes by crimping the ends of the pipes. Sounds like a quality product.

This vent line was easy to install. Did stretch out the first 2” on each end and wrapped with foil tape which made slipping the ends over the fittings easier. Secured with hose clamps after stretching the flex line and bending it to make the smoothest transition possible. Entire installation process took me about 15 minutes. Vent line is flexible and holds its shape as advertised. Very happy with this purchase!

This duct is really compact when folded straight into itself. Appears much smoother on the inside than the generic flex duct you buy at the big box stores. It's more flexible than semi-rigid as well. It is also supposedly less susceptible to burning/melting than a cheap flex hose, which is great in the event it get very hot or a fire does start.The issue is that it doesn't have a great bend radius, so my dryer has to be pushed out about 1-2in further from the wall than with soft flex. Might not be an issue for some, but I have a small laundry room. I do recommend it as long as you don't mind your dryer possibly being pushed out a little further. Also, you do need to watch the videos so you know how to flatten the edges around the open, which stretches it out just a little to fit over your wall/dryer duct.

Worth the price. Well made and doesn’t unravel like the cheap ones do.

The appliance company sent this long intrusive vent. So I ordered this easy to install and the fit was perfect and the value was worth it and it works very well.

Finally! A hose that is high quality and great to use on tight areas and flexible without crimping! After many trial and errors over the years this is a dream fix. Air can move freely out!

Semi rigid may seem like a good thing, but it does not work well with tight spaces. In order for this to work well with your dryer, this item needs to be stretched out when it is installed. You can't scrunch it down to fit in a tight space. Again, it has to be stretched out. It also does not flex well enough to easily fit over the dryer vent. I was not able to use this and had to buy a more flexible vent hose.
