Exactly what I was looking for…
I always read the 1 star reviews to see what major complaints are and it seems as though they’ve addressed those issues because:1.) the pillow was packaged flat in a large box, so it was not at all misshapen.2.) the pillow was wrapped/sealed in a plastic bag with a scent absorbing pack. So, it did not smell like the burlap bag that it was packed in. I must say, though, the burlap bag is a little unnecessary and excessive.I got this for my toddler who needed a little something to rest her head on, but regular pillows are always way too high. So far, this is perfect. I’ll update if anything.

Misshapen lump - mostly fixed itself
Edit after about 10 days:It's mostly better. After a couple of days of nothing more happening with it, I decided to try beating the everloving daylights out of it against my bed. I don't know why I did it, but it actually worked pretty well. Most of it fluffed up almost to where it should be after that. It still had a weird flat indentation around one end and was still kind of lumpy, but it was mostly usable. And the beating part was quite therapudic, too. After a few nights of sleeping with it behind my back, even that flat part at the end gave up its stubbornness and filled out. Now almost all of it is the width it's supposed to be, and it's nice and comfortable. The very middle never did fill out completely, it's still not as puffed out as the rest.. There are still some weird lumps in places. But when I lie on or against it, the memory foam takes my weight and adjusts, and I don't notice a thing wrong with it.Original review:I am not happy. So, I read the information on it and accepted that it was small before I ordered it, so I won't knock stars off for that. Calling it a "body" pillow is an extreme misnomer. Standing, it reaches from the top of my head to just above my waist. Just fair warning on that.It came curled up in this burlap and plastic bag. It was SO HARD to get the thing out of that bag. I almost gave up and cut the bag open. I did finally get it out and opened up the pillow. I expected that it was vaccuum sealed and would start fluffing up right away. It... didn't. It stayed flat. For hours. Before I went to bed, I picked it up and started beating the ever loving heck out of it against anything nearby, and that actually made some progress, as well as getting out a good deal of personal frustration. Some parts of it started opening up. The pictures say it should get to about five inches. It never did.On one end, it's maybe four inches puffed up, if I'm being generous. In the middle, I've got maaaaybe two inches. The other end is funny. It tapers down to almost completely flat then bulges out to three inches or so. About a third of it might be reasonably comfortable, but the rest of it is lumpy and useless. I'm so disappointed. I'm a side sleeper and I wanted this behind my back for support.

Update: 2/28/23
Update: I’m still using this pillow and loving it. I have 2 of the inserts as one pillow and 1 insert alone. This was exactly what I was looking for and I hope anyone who has tried multiple pillows tries this one! Seriously, it’s my favorite. The pillow was delivered fast & I loved the packaging it came in (see pic). Thankfully it did not have that strong chemical smell like other pillows I’ve bought so that is a huge plus. Well,I mean, it had a little smell from being wrapped airtight but I opened it about 6p and used it that same night so yeah I’d say no smell. I used a pillow once that I had to let it air out for a couple days- it may or may not be a guest pillow now. Ok back to this beauty! What can I say a women lovers her options! On night one I slept with all 3 layers. Secretly I knew I’d want less but figured I try it just in case. It’s about 3 in-3.5 inches high with all 3 layers. At first I was thinking it’s a bit hard, but then changed my mind after 20 seconds because I was not sinking in like I did with that now guest pillow which also by the way tried to smother me; please don’t let that statement of not sinking in deter you because the older I get (mid 40s) the more I realize I like things a bit firmer vs softer. My point is that I was able to breath on my side, back (of course one can breath that way duh) and on my stomach. After an hour I ended up taking out a layer and that seems to be perfect for me! I’ve been using the 2 layer option for the last few days and I’m sleeping quite comfortably. My head & neck feels supported and I’m waking up without pain. I’m still a pain according to my family but waking up & not having a stiff neck is wonderful. I’ll update my review as time goes on but I’d definitely recommend this to my friends!

Like it a lot, but it’s still misshapen looking after 2 days
I really wish this would fill out the rest of the way and look like a nice rounded cylindrical bolster, because I like the size and firmness of it. I’ve let it sit for 2 days, and have even popped it in the dryer a few times on the low/air setting. Larger cylindrical bolsters seem to be hard to find, and many others are just too squishy… This one is perfect for under or between my husband’s knees when he lies on his back in our full size camper bed, which is too small for larger pillows to go across without encroaching on my side. I like it enough that I might see about exchanging this bolster for another, although I don’t have a box large enough for it now that it’s no longer compressed… Attention seller: I’m willing to upgrade my review if I get another that decompresses properly and looks nice and rounded like it should, because otherwise I have no complaints.

Amazing but give it 48 hours
When I first unrolled this pillow and let it reinflate for a few hours, I’ll admit my first impression was not good. It was lumpy and didn’t fill out the pillowcase. But after letting it sit for 48 hours, it is a full, plush pillow that has lost all of its lumpiness. It is great quality memory foam and I am a big fan! It is both firm and soft at the same time. I plan on taking it on a trip to New Zealand so i am hopeful that it will travel well and regain its shape quickly after being rolled up tightly again. Love this pillow!
