I’ve owned lights for trucks and motorcycles before and I find it amazing how each are similar and yet slightly different. I connected these lights to a battery for testing purposes as I wasn’t sure yet if I wanted to put them on my Bronco or not. Once you open the box, it may appear to be a jumbled mess of wires. I have found that by spreading them out, they make much more sense. Many of these types of RGB lights connect to an app as to better control your lighting preferences. This product is very similar as well. However, I have ALSO found that the app listed is not necessarily the correct or current app for the product in your hands. At the time of this posting, the recommended app was “Life-Smart Living.” What I found to work was “Smart Life – Smart Living.” After 3 attempts to locate an app with a similar name, I found it. It was easy to manipulate colors and effects. These lights are so bright, I almost had to wear sunglasses! I would have posted a video but the lights were so bright, it just didn’t show well. The connecting lines were a thicker gauge wire than some lights I’ve used. I don’t see them breaking or simply falling apart. If you’re looking to dress up your vehicle, I would recommend these lights. For the price, they are an excellent buy. For the money, these YiLaie RGB rock lights are a steal -- it's the accessories that remind you, though, that you get what you pay for, ultimately.As for brightness, these are really fantastic; and no matter which color, out of the thousands from which you may choose, they're all just as stunning. Nobody can say they didn't see you coming, when you flip them on at night, that's for sure. And the pulse effects and other settings are major.Where it loses a star is for its rotten remote and confusing installation instructions. The remote is almost useless; when it does work, it's nice to have, but since most of the time it doesn't, its purpose is not served. Installation is harder than it ought to be because of the instructions and Yenglish in which they are written. I've installed two sets of LED lights on vehicles previously, and they were easy (compared to these YiLaies). I had to get the wiring schematics from my owner's manual, for these.SO: what we have here are some LEDs with truly impressive illumination in a multitude of colors, confounded by something which claims to be a remote but isn't, and instructions written as though someone was translating Mayan into English. Once you do get them installed, though, it's showtime.4/5

Out of the box these had a pretty quality feel to them. I’ve owned a few different types of these kits and this would be in my top 5, especially for the price. Most kits only come with 4 lights and this one comes with 8 which is a huge deal with color saturation. Installing was pretty easy and simple just took a little time to make sure all the lights were in the right spots to make sure the wires reached the control box and then to a power source. Took me roughly 45 minutes to install but I had done a few already on previous vehicles. Oh and be careful where you screwed the lights in because it’s easy to make a mistake and put a screw through your carpet. As for the app I am impartial to it. It’s great for customizing your settings but the real hero here is the 4 button remote which you can set presets to without opening the app up.

We bought theses not thinking to read how long they are. They are advertised on a huge truck but don’t even fit a short bed!

I was super excited to get my light kit for my truck and rushed home to install them when were delivered. Everything looked perfect in the box, and they definitely looked high quality.Before I did anything I did some power reading on the install booklet and precautions. After reading through each section to get a good idea on what to do I hooked it up to my battery (rated for 12/24V) and followed the testing instructions. No matter what I did they would still flash red. That means there is an issue with the lights or something. I tried an independent battery and achieved the same results.If anyone at YiLaie knows what I did wrong on the setup process please let me know but I can assure you that I followed each step and made sure not to rush. I believe I received a bad set of lights but because there is a grey area I’m leaving this at 3 stars and will give it another shot.I’m going to have my friend try to install them and he works as a stereo installer. If he fails to install or they continue to flash red then I will leave this review at 3 stars.
