This helmet provides a great view of the work area. The auto-darkening function works extremely well and with the darkest shade available being 14, it provides a very clear view of the puddle. I also bought a set of cheater lenses which make welding possible without having to wear my glasses. For me that was a game changer by adding more comfort and clarity to the welding process.My only negative comment is that the top of the mask has square corners so I can't attach the rear shade. It won't go on because the corners prevent it from being pushed on. I will come up with an alternative way of mounting it though. This helmet works too well to return it because the rear shade won't mount on the it.

Really good hood for the money. I work in a metal fab shop and use this helmet everyday for mig and Tig welding. The lense is clear true color and not that green shade. The auto darkening is responsive and accurate. No problems with mig or Tig at all. My coworkers that have Lincoln, miller, Jackson welding hoods say that my hood is really nice. The only con for me is that the strap design is slightly uncomfortable. Could be just the shape of my head though. Before this hood, I've owned an antra (green) auto darkening hood for about 4 years so I trust that this hood will give me many years.

Absolutely love my helmet. The only thing I'd change is better quality screens as they seem to dimple from beebee's hitting it unlike my Miller.

I bought this for my son who obviously is taking welding at school. I got him a cheaper helmet at the beginning of the class and happily upgraded to this one. he loves it! he said he can see sooo much clearer now. definitely worth the money. the colors are pretty cool too.

You will definitely like the big area of sight. Very clear vision compared to other hoods I spent a lot more for.

both top straps on headgear are a) MISALIGNED SO THAT THE EDGES OF STRAPS MAKE CONTACT WITH YOUR HEAD BUT THE FLAT SURFACES DO NOT / CAN NOT i.e. DUE TO IMPROPER ANGLE OF NON ADJUSTABLE TOP STRAPS THE EDGES WILL DIG INTO YOUR SCALP... ONE IS WORSE THAN THE OTHER BUT THEY BOTH HAVE THE ISSUE.NOT 100% SURE BUT MIGHT BE ABLE TO SWAP HEADGEAR OUT, BUT, THAT WILL PUT COST UP TO WHAT ABOUT $170 AFTER TAX... IM NOT SURE IF THATS REASONABLE FOR A SEMI GENERIC BRAND HELMET...

this is the best welding helmet that I have have 2 older type helmets and this is just close to a Miller helmet and I have used it a few times already it's up with the top brands I am happy to have got one

I got this helmet because my old helmet was arc flashing me when I started DC TIG welding. No amount of adjusting sensitivity, delay or shade could prevent this. The Antra DP9 performs flawlessly for TIG. It also has a considerably clearer view than my old helmet! The top strap on the headgear doesn’t lay flat on my head, however it feels considerably more durable than the old helmet and I love the positive detente for the up position. More expensive than the old one but definitely a big improvement!

Decent shield for the money, works well view is good, functions work good, only thing is the halo hard hat adapters don't work on this shield because the holes are round. I had to take a Miller elite adapter and square out the holes on the helmet itself and fit the pieces in and bang new field welding shield

It's lightweight and easy to use and most importantly it's the true color. You can see your welding very clearly .I have been using it for almost a year and I have never had problems with it. Very good welding helmet. I recommend it .

The true colour technology is a game changer for me. Immediate level up in the quality of this amateur's welds. Well worth the money IMO.

There's a lot to like about this unit. It has presets for weld, cut, grind So you do not have to fiddle with Settings. Just select and go. Easy to disassemble if you need to change the lens or the batteries. Well thought out design. Would definitely buy it again.
