The lace was thick and easy to use. My daughter was making her first skirt and was able to sew this lace on with no problems. It has an embroidery feel and went perfect with the other materials she picked.

My daughter used a little bit of this lace to make a necklace, but I've mostly been using it to wrap presents - I think that it really elevates a simple, plainer wrapping paper into something special. It's a bit thicker than other lace that I have, so it's strong and holds well; it also cuts and ties nicely.

The biggest trend in fashion and crafting is crochet. The selection of black cotton crochet in this offering is good. The lace can be used for insertion or edging or any combination. The black cotton really sets off the design against a lighter color. Whether being used to complete a project or just add a tiny bit of embellishment, there is plenty to work with. Sometimes I like to pre-wash/shrink a cotton lace before adding to a design, especially if it will be used on something that will be laundered regularly like a pillow case.
