i tried testing this at home and found that the phone charging ports worked fine, but the AC ports had no output. i plugged this into my 220 volt washer/dryer outlet and the AC ports worked fine. guess it only wants 220v inputs.

Unfortunately there was no way to test this converter adaptor prior to trip. I had 2 different ones with me. This one damaged and burned my cd player beyond repair, totally dead. Since I had another transformer I was able to test a blender and with the blender this one only let it operate in one speed, all the other buttons did not work. Then I switched to the bigger transformer and it worked perfectly. Too late for my cd player. Don't buy this junk

Worked very well using the plug, but unfortunately one of the usb connections didn’t work

I was looking to bring my hair appliances to Europe and needed to also plug in my phone charger. This item checks the box for what I need. Not only can I charge my phone but it is also a voltage adapter which you need if going to certain countries outside the United States. Hair appliances will not work with US voltage so you need to have one of these with you. It’s small enough to stick in your luggage or even your hand bag .

Travel to Italy. Plugged right in up and going.

I bought this for a trip to Europe. The 220 v to 110 v does not work. It burned up a steamer as soon as I plugged it in. Return window closed right before my trip, so I am stuck. Now I have to replace another appliance too. I would like a full refund for this piece of garbage and my steamer replaced. Terrible. Clearly no quality control here. Beware!

Bought 2 for a business trip to France and they did not disappoint. Trust me- based on past disasters … you don’t want to just buy an adapter. You need the Converter! This one! Trust me. Plus, all the charging ports = a bonus and so convenient. One for my hotel room and one with me in the office. Would prefer the prongs fold down for more compact travel size

Edit: Since I wrote the review I learned that my curling iron was dual voltage so it should have worked no matter the voltage. Customer service contacted me and offered a refund. I didn't take the refund since I am not sure anymore that it was a fault with their product or not but I wanted to change the review to reflect their amazing customer service. Original: Took to Italy to use on my expensive flat iron. Unfortunately, it destroyed it! Bought in April when I booked my trip and is no longer eligible for return.
