I have never had one of these and always struggled with right angle welding using inferior methods. This tool made my last job a lot quicker.

I got this vise for doing some light wood working. The vise was This vice takes some time to mount depending on your workbench but connects with a couple bolts. The vice has a 7 inch capacity which is plenty for most boards. My favorite feature is the quick release which makes opening and closing the vise way faster. The quality of the cast of the vise is decent but it has some imperfections. Over all I'm happy with this vise but its a bit on the expensive end.

The media could not be loaded.  I will start by saying these are much better than the surplus tool supply versions available out there. I ordered the high base option, and I compared them to the leading brand of the same option. In my video, the product being reviewed is on the right, and immediately left is the leading brand. There are a few obvious differences. Firstly, the casting on these, although similar, is smaller and not quite as robust. The finish is more glossy on these, which I think will help keep them cleaner. Another pleasant surprise, the threaded portion on these is a fair bit longer than the leading brand, giving you at least an inch or so more length for tightening! Although the non-marring pads on these are soft and help project your clamping surfaces, they are almost too pliable, and have a tendency to slip off if you aren't paying attention to that fact. In summary, I think these are great clamps, with some advantages over the leading brand, but the non-marring pads are too pliable and easy to lose.

This heavy duty, well constructed device is a great addition to my home welding shop. It seems to work well holding metal for welding.

PROS: Heavy Duty with standard 3/4" pipe thread, create clamps of any length to suit your needs and change anytime, nice long crank length, smooth working slides, rubber sleeves for protecting delicate surfaces, versatile with purebred holes so you can fasten them down, or stand them up and off...CONS: A little difficult to get the sliding piece in (the spring clips wants to stay in the middle of the pipe hole and needs a bit of persuading to initially get it onto the pipe) works fine and locks in good once on. Great value for a very versatile and adaptable clamp set.
