Expensive item and it is so weak.

I drive an old F150 and the ends of the door molding had curled and would not lie flat. I cleaned the inside of the molding and the doors surfaces with a rag and some gas, let it dry and then used a heat gun to soften the molding, (be very careful if you use this method because it's easy to heat the molding up to much and melt it), after the molding was more pliable, I applied the tape, held the molding to the door until it became cool and voilà, no more lifted door molding. I recommend this product if you have anything that needs to be stuck to metal, it works fantastic.

Great product, best company for adhesives 3M. I needed it for vinyl on chrome trim for a classic car. Perfect size, strong adhesion.
