great for smaller food like chickpeas
My previous basically antique wavy masher started rusting so I replaced it with another wavy masher but also this one. I feel like this one is very good at mashing smaller items like chickpeas. The handle is comfortable to grip and it cleans easily.

Solid smasher
Seems to mash potatoes quite well. Only used once so we'll see how long it lasts.

Perfect mashed foods
I love this smasher! The stainless steel does a much better job of making mashed potatoes and refried beans. I had the vertical handle for years and had to keep mashing way longer but this gadget does it in less time. I recommend using it.

Easier on the hands
I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet but I believe it will be much easier on the hand as I mash with that handle. Also I like the grate.
