Standard Prefinished Solid Bamboo Baseboard Molding 6' Length (1, Vertical Grain - Natural Color)

I have the uncommon, and best, 'vertical grain' bamboo flooring. Most is horizontal grain, where you can see the 'knots' (for lack of a better term), which make them look dated and cheap. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this in a vertical grain. I remodeled my master bath, with a thicker tile than the original, so I needed a transition threshold, and this did the trick. Even though it is advertised for use as a baseboard, it is sturdy enough to work for my purpose. The step up at 3/8", was twice the height that I needed of only 3/16th. I didn't count this against the star rating, because it is impossible to find that even in an oak piece. I used my table saw (since I don't have a planer) to cut it down to 3/16th thick. It worked perfectly, and being the same material as the flooring, it has a very natural and professional look. If I had to have used oak, it would have stood out and look like a cheap work around.
