A New York Times and USA Today Bestseller! She thought she had her life back. She was wrong. A gripping debut thriller perfect for fans of Natalie D. Richards and Vincent Ralph. It was a mistake to trust him. Shivering and bruised, a teen wakes up on the side of a dirt road with no memory of how she got there―or who she is. A passing officer takes her to the police station, and not long after, a frantic man arrives. He's been searching for her for hours . He has her school ID, her birth certificate, and even family photos. He is her father. Her name is Mary. Or so he says. When Lola slammed the car door and stormed off into the night, Drew thought they just needed some time to cool off. Except Lola disappeared, and the sheriff, his friends, and the whole town are convinced Drew murdered his girlfriend. Forget proving his innocence, he needs to find her before it's too late. The longer Lola is missing, the fewer leads there are to follow…and the more danger they both are in. Review: wow! - This book had me hooked on the first page and EVERY page after! I could not put it down! The ending was shocking! Wow! Great book. The writing style was perfect, not confusing, wasn’t boring and kept me turning pages until the end! Review: KEPT ME GUESSING - This was a quick, fast-paced read that kept me interested from the very beginning. The story pulled me in right away, and I found myself wanting to know what was really going on. I enjoyed the twists and suspense, and the chapters made it easy to keep saying, "Just one more." I'd definitely give this one 4 out of 5 stars. If you're looking for a YA mystery thriller that's entertaining, easy to get through, and keeps you guessing, I'd recommend adding this one to your TBR.

Better than Freida!
Wow, what a great book!! After doing a social media cleanse because it’s too depressing, i picked up reading again. I read 5 Freida books in a month and decided i needed a new author since her stories start to become predictable when you read them in a row. I was going through books and came across this one, so happy i did!! This author has great writing skills to keep you engaged. I liked all of the going back and forth between characters. The ending was perfect for this book. The relationship between Max and drew reminded me of my bestfriend and I. I just ordered another by this author and i am excited to read it. 10/10!!!! If they make this a movie one day it will be great!

Kept me on the edge of my seat
Just finished That’s Not My Name and man, was it good! This is a YA thriller, but don’t let that stop you if YA isn’t usually your thing. This one kept me on the edge of my seat, and I genuinely couldn’t put it down. The ending didn’t necessarily surprise me (I watch way too much true crime and read way too many thrillers 😂), but that didn’t take away from the impact at all. The emotional and touching ending had me in tears! Definitely a solid 4-star read for anyone who loves thrillers or is looking to switch up their usual genre. Highly recommend giving this one a shot!

Solid read
I liked it a lot! It was gripping it was thrilling and it was easy to follow. I wasn’t expecting the plot twist and I spent a lot of time conjuring up theories and the plot twist was the complete opposite, in a good way lol.I loved the way Lally curated the characters too they were all competent and not making decisions no one would realistically make,, which was much to be appreciated.

That's not my name is good!
Just finished "that's not my name" by Megan Lally. Here's what I thought of this book. First off all, it was hyped up on a Facebook group where people said this was an absolute 5 star read, after reading I get why they said it, but it's not a 5 star for me. That's not my name all but suggest what the book is about now doesn't it. We have a teen girl named Lola missing, we have a girl that can't remember a thing, found, and a boy named Drew who has been pointed out as a suspect in the disappearance of Lola. A girl in a ditch wakes up but doesn't remember how she got there, and why does everything hurt so much? She has to move, a feeling of dread has her somewhat alert. After walking for a bit, a police cruiser passes and stops. At the police station she can't tell much, she just doesn't know. She doesn't even remember her name. That's when they hear a knock on the door.. "thank god! You found her! You found my Mary" The man, named Wayne claims he is the father of this girl, Mary? So.. That's her name? The police has been right to be hesitant, but after showing her birth certificate and documents he places her in his care. But, was that the right choice? Is Mary really, Mary? Lola has been missing for 5 weeks now, there is no sign of her, it's like she vanished into thin air. Drew, her boyfriend has been the main suspect and the sheriff is closing in. Drew on the other hand, has been spending all his money on printing fliers, missing person fliers. He's the only one that doesn't give up. She has to be somewhere, right? After a bit of investigating with Max and Autumn they have a lead, only no one seems to listen. So they chose to check it out themselves. What will they find? That's for you to find out. 4 star read! The end had my heart in pieces.

4.5 Stars !
If you’re reading this book as an adult and you’re worried about the YA rating, don’t let that scare you away! I read this book in one sitting (it’s currently 3am lol) and maybe it’s just because it’s dark out but I definitely found myself feeling creeped out at some parts! Don’t get me wrong, the main characters are definitely the usual recipe of a typical YA teenager, but it didn’t take away from the tension and urgency in the storyline. -0.5 for the predictability because yeah, I saw the ending from a mile away, BUT I did find myself rooting for the main characters and my heart still hurt when the story came to an end. Perhaps if I wasn’t an avid reader or an adult, maybe the ending would be less predictable? I’m also a little bit sad with how it ended because I was rooting for them so hard! If you’re looking for a fast paced read with emotion and heart-racing content, I recommend!
